  1. There were four very nice homes on a dead-end street next to a medium sized supermarket. The supermarket bought all the houses on the street and tore them down just to expand the parking lot. It makes no sense to me. It seems the agenda is to get rid of housing that supported 7 different household units just so what, more shoppers can cram into a supermarket that never has all the lanes open? Is land really more profitable as a parking lot than as a rental?

  2. A three-bedroom home used to be like the end goal. Then it moved up to four bedroom, now these McMansion luxury palaces. A typical family can live fine in 1500 square feet, then it went to 2500, now it is even higher.

  3. All these giant luxury homes and condos will end up going the way of all the shopping malls and mega corporate headquarters, just abandoned relics that no one can afford to purchase or upkeep. People will want small properties with low overhead for utilities and taxes. The type of homes they are now calling urban blight and tearing down, those will be the most sought after types of housing. I think if these places aren't abandoned with everyone else homeless in tent cities or internment camps, they will be bought by wealthy corporate investors and foreigners. China will buy properties and let them sit abandoned, ghost cities. Supposedly families buy them for inheritances, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. It seems like the rich want all the property and everyone else turned out on the streets to die a slow death.
