  1. He didn't die of alcoholism. That was their excuse not to save him. That lady called him a piece of shit that no one would buy alcohol for. They brought him food to keep him alive, but he still was in a terrible state. They wouldn't say how he died but made sure everyone knew it was related to alcoholism. He seemed to be living under a smear campaign. Did he have liver failure or what? He didn't look jaundiced to be honest. He looked like he was starving and maybe had sepsis from a rotting leg. If they didn't treat him with compassion at his home, why would they in the hospital either? Sometimes it is better to skip the hospital and deal with the people who are willing to help. Probably having a cleaned-up home, food and water, and people to drop in daily would have kept him alive. The doctor said he needed to go to the hospital for an x-ray before going to the old folk's home. Well, nothing was even broken on him. They should have just taken him to the home where the man was willing to help him. Those medical people were up to no good for some reason. It is like he is on some kind of a blacklist.

  2. Maybe someone put a gasoline-soaked rag in his bed, and the fumes evaporated before the journalist could smell it. Maybe they were hoping he would drop an ash and set the building on fire. He was very adamant about not taking the cigarette he was offered.
