  1. How they left Lida with no heat and her legs frost bitten is inexplicable. Then they bought her pain meds so she couldn’t see what was on her legs nor feel it either. It is kind of scary the indifference. I think maybe Anya was trying to somehow help, but her mother was influencing her. They shot out fast when the doctor showed up with Sergei. Maybe the apartment was never in Anya’s name and that is why the mother is worried about losing it now.
