@stepht7508 They don't have our inflation. The big jar of homemade pickles was 400 rubles I think she said. That is equivalent to $8 in US money, which is what we would pay here for organic homemade pickles with the jar. The jam I think was 250-300 rubles. That would be $5-$6 for organic homemade jam. That is probably what you would pay in the USA also.

I imagine that food is very delicious and healthy. If they had a cooperative where Americans could buy online and have it imported, I think it could be a success. I would order from it and would love to try their foods. I would like to see how the orphanage even reacted to getting so much good food and prepared with experience. I guess they do this to keep busy and feel useful as much as anything else. If we had this in the USA, I would love to shop there. I go to farmers markets and some of the farmers look elderly. This one man is always very grateful to me to be by anything really two elderly men at different tables. It is fun to shop there.
