  1. Saving money on coffees might help a little here and there, but with no real hope of getting anything more out of life, there is no motivation. It isn't like they are not buying a coffee so that they can get a $75,000 house. It is not buying one thinking you will get a million-dollar house. They call it doom spending, but I think it's fatalistic. If the most you will get out of your money is the convenience of a fancy coffee you might as well instead of running on some treadmill that just leaves you pretty much in the same spot. Same with buying a house. I wouldn't wait hoping they will be more affordable if you wait a couple of years. If I could get one now, I would. You can't imagine what will be going on in a couple of years, maybe WW III. If you can change your situation now, I would take the opportunity. The condo might suddenly charge some huge fee making it unsellable or take all your savings before the move. Things keep getting worse economically for the lower classes. I think you have to take whatever opportunities arise before more are cut off.
