  1. They signed a contract to pay the commission, so it is a done deal. I don't think anyone has the right to go back and take money out of someone's pocket that they earned. The system was set up to help everyone get into homes. If you pay the buyer's agent for every little thing they do, it isn't a friendly business any longer. It is going to be about getting the most out of every client instead of just acting in good faith and putting in the work in the hopes that it is profitable for the agent. I feel like real estate is being purposely imploded as a business so that more people make bad buying decisions and wind up homeless. This is going to hurt the industry. The only people who are going to want to attempt buying are the seasoned players, the huge corporations with experience in transactions. The first timers are going to have too much to worry about and be too intimidated. I think these huge real estate lobbies need to sue and argue against this. It is not a anti-trust matter, it is a contract matter. People have the right to sign whatever sort of contract they want.

  2.  @JohnDoe-np3zk  it isn’t a conflict of interest because both agents are facilitating a sale on his behalf. He is being benefitted by a buyer’s agent making possible for someone to buy his property. If the fee isn’t structured into the sales agreement, then most buyer’s won’t have the money or interest to pursue closing on their own.
