If you are in a hot area, it is survivable if you are near breezy areas like oceans or under a lot of waving trees that provide shade. If you are in a blazing open area in the sun, it is going to be too much especially around a lot of cement and pavement. You will be inside all day with the AC on. Then if the power goes out, how will you be able to take it?
Traffic is a problem all over. If you had to drive the highways past any malls yesterday, even in upstate NY, you had to sit in some. Having patience with other drivers and not getting caught up in their drama helps. I got so confused by the angry aggressive tailgaters that I missed the turn and drove way out of my way trying to get home.
People being rude in stores, I get a lot of that in small towns to the point I won't go in their store even if I have to drive an hour to shop. Sometimes they are more sociable in cities, go figure. They aren't as condescending. They don't have a captive audience.
If someone can't figure out how to live on $150,000 a year, that is a problem. People figure out how to live on social security. It is called budgeting, not spending without thinking. There is always something cheaper to do or cheaper to eat. You don't need the full insurance. You don't need every new thing for sale. Restraint and simplistic living can help.
