  1. I think we live under the illusion of supply and demand, but in fact the markets are rigged in favor of the wealthy. It is only going to continue that trend more so than now. If the REETs are buying up all the low cost homes say in Atlanta, the only thing going to go up is the number of homeless that can't get into the market. The investors won't lower prices because they want all they can get out of the investment. It is called capitalism and it is predatory. There has to be some restraints on it but instead, they get backed up for being too big to fail like the banks. Huge corporations and banks get taxpayer money after actually robbing the taxpayers running their businesses into the ground. The whole situation is a wizard of oz delusion with the opportunities being really hard to find and the script being written by little men behind the scenes. Buyers go down the yellow brick road of dreams only to find the prices of affordable homes keep going up and out of reach. Sure, the prices of super expensive homes in some markets are coming down, but the whole market is leveling off at a higher level than before with less opportunity for the low-income investor looking for actual housing.

  2. I heard social security offices were being armed as well years ago. Why would that be? Do they plan on cutting people off suddenly and expecting angry mobs at the offices? So many will be on the streets if that happenes.
