The people who paid off the loans have that skill now for life. Disabled people get relief anyway. If you are paying for years and years, there comes a time when enough is enough. If these were as great as advertised, more people would be able to pay back the loans. A degree isn't as rare as it used to be. I think it just used to be for the very smart and talented. With just about anyone able to get one, it doesn't show the same level of ability. You may have gotten a degree in something that you really can't excel at. Sometimes doing a simple job to perfection is going to pay better than being lousy at something more complex.
