  1. Appleway got their karma. They tried to run out all the paying low-income tenants and ended up with no tenants. If someone wants to buy a building like that on credit, they need a business plan that says they will not update and upscale the residents out of their homes, and maybe the bank will let them have the money. Even small landlords do this, buy a property, act like they are upscaling everything and then wanting more money and to say what class of people live there. These types of people wind up losing the properties and going bankrupt. Their business plan is only greed. The really hardcore ones might get away with it for now, but basically this type of attitude is pride that cometh before a fall.

  2. How are they not paying the fare? Don't they get arrested for that? I think they need the station agents also. They were helpful if you needed a map or had questions or to keep an eye on things. Now you have to stand staring at a vending machine or a map on the wall until you can figure out what you need to do.

  3. It takes about six months to try to get someone out if you can even get the eviction. Then they can appeal or ask for maybe six months more hardship time in NJ anyway. It costs maybe $1,000 for the lawyer. They would rather do this than just accept the lower income paying tenant in the hopes of getting a higher income. I guess greed blinds them to the big picture. Most tenants just run for their lives and wind up homeless. They don't stay and fight for their rights because they are intimidated by the system and lack of help and compassion from any government agencies including legal services. That is how the landlords get people out. They just scare them out saying the eviction will ruin their record or whatever.

  5. The death knell is now that the USA is sending advanced missile systems to Ukraine. All they do is bomb civilians with this stuff they can barely figure out how to use. They also sell some of it to Africa or whoever wants it, maybe Boko Haram. Nevertheless, Russia will see this as a direct provocation of the USA towards Russia, and their leaders have said as much. They see the hand up Zelensky's dress manipulating his actions, and it is the hand of the USA.
