I would like to see more about how poor they are. They have a rich cultural and social life. I think that is making them richer in a way than the people in England. The nature and beaches are so beautiful there. It seems the more money they get, the more sterile their lives become. How poor do you have to be to give up having children or abandon your own culture? The thing about this being the crux of the slave trade, I believe it. They are so trusting, friendly, and simple, that they would make good slaves. They aren't fierce and selfish like the Nigerian romance scammers who break peoples' hearts and take all their money and don't care. They seem to want to do whatever they have to in order to be taken care of. This also shows you how much love can be an act of will. You choose who you will love and why. They never fight because they choose to love. There seems to be a lot of Rastafarian influence there also. It would be interesting to check in on these relationships again and see how they worked out.
