  2. They were victims of narcissistic abuse and rape. They were probably out of their minds. Obviously, they should have run away, but that can be hard when you lose your spot in Princeton and a whole rich lifestyle to go live on the streets. I always believed them. People were just jealous of them sadly and didn't want to listen to their story. I mean if it was at the point where the man was writing to his cousin looking for advice and help, and there was none, it is kind of like he was already in a very hopeless and desperate state. Others may have tried suicide to escape, but since they were twins going through it, they had that support of each other. Some people aren't strong enough to escape without doing something truly desperate. It is sad that there is no support and help for people like this in this country. What kind of society supports this behavior, letting that monster be alone with his son like that?
