How are there no ARRESTS REPORTED, yet you can get arrested for sleeping outside or even looking homeless. Sleeping is criminal, being poor is criminal, but being violent and destroying the city isn't? DiBlasio and the police are letting down everyone. This isn't law and order. Also what is wrong wtih something like Whole Foods? They are trying to give people safe healthy food to eat. I don't think these are even protesters of anything, just rioters causing mayhem under the auspices of the government.

@Michael Re Murals are fine, that is free speech, but this looting and vandalism is not. It is like Kristallnacht.

As someone who walked all over Williamsburg, I want to say how disappointing and upsetting this is. It was a really nice experience to see all the cute little shops, nice restaurants, and people from all different types of race, class and religious backgrounds living together and getting along. Now these inflitrators are wrecking it for everyone. You notice this isn't happenening in the righ neighborhoods. I saw Fifth Ave. all boarded up, but no one marching there anyway. These people are such hypocrites, they stand for nothing but trouble.

@Michael Re The NYPD seems more political than concerned with public safety, and they have for years been like that. I heard that they had helicopters going up and down the Hudson constantly looking for drugs; I don't know if that is what they were doing, but I did see nonstop helicopters. It must be really scary living there now. It was getting more and more claustrophobic there over the years. I feel like there has been continually less law and order, less respect, and just more bodies crammed in over the years. Any type of actual culture was drained away in favor of some tourist friendly image. Now with this going on, it looks like mayhem night and day. Are residents allowed to stop these people, or do they get arrested for that say if they got in a fight with them?

@Michael Re Well when the Jamaicans were rioting in England, only the Englishmen with baseball bats in their own gangs stopped it. When the blacks were rioting in LA over Rodney King, only the Korean snipers on the roofs stopped it. I saw a Puerto Rican looking guy with a whistle confronting people in Williamsburg along with a few friends to stop the people smashing windows. You have to do something if you want it to end or it could escalete to where Trump just calls in the National Guard and no one is allowed out at all. You know the authorities will not stop them, that is their plan to get everyone on lockdown.
