  1. Nurses should switch to private care settings where they tend patients in their own homes. They can then be the boss of what is going on and give their full attention to the patient. They might even make more money without the hospitals taking a cut of their pay. Patients would probably have way better outcomes and be willing to pay more than the hospitals do. Also, if the patient didn't want them there, they could leave instead of being punched in the head or called names.

  2. I am glad you stepped down before you did harm to the patients. That happens so often that the helpless patients get the rage workers have at the administration. You are better off having personal clients who you care for in their own homes. They have more dignity, you have more freedom, and it will probably cost them a lot less.

  3. Most of them aren't there because of drinking or drugs, they aren't just getting high and passing out on a bench. They really have no homes and no other options. People get degrees in social work, there are social welfare departments, yet all they do is push papers. No one is taking these people case by case and straightening out where they fit in. It looks like a lot of the homeless are now late middle aged in their fifties and sixties. People who aren't old enough for a nursing home but aren't young enough to have much energy or new opportunities. When they get tired of seeing a person long enough, they probably do shove them into a nursing home which can be a slow death camp. This is a society who hates and blames its poor and wants to see them fail instead of lifting them up. It is cold and cruel. There is no free market in low-cost housing. You take whatever you can get. It is hard to imagine that sleeping in a van with two children is easier than having them in a sleazy motel. There are landlords that do try to drive their tenants into the grave.
