  1. I think I know that building. It used to be very nice. The conditions they are living in are horrible. Why wasn't the board of health there demanding immediate repairs? Condemning the building is not the answer. Put a cap on the sewage pipe; that can be done right away. If some people need to stay in a motel for a few weeks while their apartment is renovated, pay for that. Throwing them all out when they are poor is leaving them to die on a sidewalk.

  2. They have to put all that stuff in storage and then pay to move it again which costs almost as much as rent.
