People have the right to refuse service to whoever they want. Business owners aren't slaves. Then again, they can't be forced to engage in business activity that they don't feel is moral or that they simply don't have an interest in.

When people rent apartments, they sometimes refuse to rent to unmarried couples. That is allowed. That is discrimination based on sexual orientation. Why should a baker be any different? Also these gay couples do this to persecute Christian service providers. They go there to make a scene instead of finding a business that would gladly do the work for them. That is discrimination against the Christians which is discrimination based on religion. If the Christians were smart, they would lie and say sorry I am all booked up. Instead they make a statement about it so these people can run off and sue them. The Christians don't want to lie. Lying to protect yourself and living a lie are two different things. If the baker is forced to bake this cake, he will be living a lie. If he goes to jail for refusing, he will be almost like committing suicide. He probably thinks he will be a martyr. I don't know. If you can get out of it I think you should.

If that is your attitude, I would gladly prefer to take my business elsewhere.

Well you say that but if a business owner calls the police and says they don't want you there for whatever reason, the police remove you and say you are trespassing. They don't say it is a free market and they can't throw you out.

Let's say a Muslim woman goes into an orthodox Jewish tailoring shop and asks that he work on some burkas for her, should he have to? Does he have the right to say no, or does anyone who likes to be a smart alec and start trouble have the right to go and force people to participate in activities when they are not inclined to do so? There is even a comedy skit where a Jewish guy goes into a black run dry cleaners in the ghetto and hands him a KKK robe and tells him to clean it and there is a big altercation and he is run out the door. There is no expectation that you have to perform services that are against you comfort level.
