  1. Her writing is dry and boring and impossible to relate to unless you are a robot or a narcissist. Enlightened self interest is an oxymoron. It makes more sense as a parody. I heard she was a communist agent trying to destroy capitalism. If it is all about self interest, it will fail. There has to be rights for the poor. It can't be all about serving yourself and then saying that is better for humanity than helping others. I think it is an excuse for selfish people to seem enlightened and sophisticated instead of the greedy pigs they are.

  2. I have that book and I can't get past the beginning. The characters are super boring. They have no personality only ambitions I guess. I don't see why you can't be an altruistic individual or individually altruistic. People who are able to share with others are the happiest and most stable. There really is no point to life if it is only about yourself.
