  1. Camping is something you do for fun as recreation. The same with waiting online overnight for concert tickets or black Friday sales. I wonder if waiting for store sales will be banned also, or if that is okay since it applies to corporations making money and promoting consumerism. On the other hand, the homeless are not there camping and having fun. They are in survival mode which happens to be outside. If the authorities don't want to see tents and camping equipment all over the sidewalks, they need to bring back public amenities. There have to be trash cans around for excess garbage that are regularly emptied. There have to be public water fountains turned on and public bathrooms available at all hours. There have to be comfortable benches to sit and relax on and picnic tables alongside grills to cook on. It should be an inclusive society, but instead one group gets marginalized to the point where they are uncomfortable anywhere they go, and now to add more to the degradation, they are labeled criminals and subject to arrest. The government tore down a lot of public housing labeling it as blighted. It actually was home to many who find themselves with no other options. Low-income housing has to be rebuilt, not as mixed-use luxury and commercial and low cost, but all low cost. People on these vouchers are targeted for being run out by the rest of the luxury minded who don't want them around and resent them. They need their own communities and neighborhoods back.
