  1. You remind me of something . . . I expect you're aware of the D20 Mothership/D21 Drone Program (using the YF12/A12)? The supersonic recon drone was supposed to drop its camera data payload on a chute and that chute was to be snagged out of the air by a modified C130. I'll bet the plans and photos of the retrieving plane's modifications are still extent. Why shoot it down when you can capture it intact?
