  2. Hi TIK! Before I attend your lecture . . . Das Heeres: a fairly modern army serviced by an almost Napoleonic supply train. The roads, the rails, the airports, the sea ports; none was capable of maintaining the pace of the transportation needs of a modern army on the move. That disastrously underwhelming infrastructure, a major logistical buzzkill, counts BEFORE the fuel "question" can be addressed. In the most fundamental sense it was a fool's gamble: Germany needed to spend all her fuel in order to get "enough" fuel. It was a zero sum game; an ouroboros with no beginning and no end. With that said, please carry on. I am most interested to hear your take on the matter.
