@Sebastianwiberg No. It does not. They were all brothers in arms, but you know nothing of those men. Nothing of allied troops.

I’ve watched this before a few times and another documentary on the Black Watch. These men were one of the most impressive and dedicated fighting forces of WWII. My father and uncles served, and one aunt was in the WAVES packing parachutes. The greatest generation was something we will never see again. People don’t understand because they don’t know how people lived, how poor many who served were when they went in at eighteen, seventeen, sixteen if they could get away with it (and that happened more than well will ever know). This documentary is going to get me right in the heart - again. These men were of a caliber I’ve rarely seen since. I grew up with them as family and family friends as a baby boomer. God bless the memories of the service of all these men. My books on Arnhem, coming off the shelves again.

No. You haven’t missed anything, I’m sad to say. That’s what they are. I just call them know-nothing spoiled, self entitled smart mouthed ingrates. My father served. Uncles too. These people today appreciate nothing. Know nothing. God bless you, friend.
