  2. A lot of those notes still circulated in several countries. It’s been said that until England took those currency notes out of circulation, you could easily have been handed those counterfeit notes and spent them, even deposited them into banks. They were that perfect.

  5. That’s right. I seem to recall a documentary about that, with scenes at the British ambassador’s estate. Maybe I just read it; I think there is a docu on it though. I’ll be hunting that up. Then, maybe it’s within another docu, and it’ll be difficult to find. Maybe someone who knows will come along and kindly leave us a link to it. I left a number of ‘maybes’ in that, lol!

I’m afraid I have no books on him in particular, just some highlights of his exploits in one or two in my British collection of WWII espionage.   7. Most did, yes. It’s disheartening to sickening that they did. The world became infused with them, and they became parts of governments. They’ve been in the US government since WWII.

  11. Bank notes used to be bigger. They weren’t in the US as they’d already been downsized, but in Europe and the UK during the war the notes were larger, and I’m sure in other parts of the world it was the same.
