  2.  @lilporky8565  Vaccines don’t strengthen the immune system, they program it to not accept a certain bug. That’s not the same. Besides, the immune system is already built to fight off things. If it can’t it’s because it’s been compromised by something else. I see a host of comments coming about “extra vitamin C” and whatever else, which is also bunk. A healthy immune system doesn’t need extra gas in the tank; it doesn’t have room to accept it. Just eat well and do basic things like hand washing, don’t touch mucous membranes with fingers, stay normally healthy. That’s all. People’s immune systems fight off things every day and nobody ever pays any attention to that. They just go into a tizzy about something everybody knows is out there. People have no idea what all IS out there or there’d be a world of paranoid people needing Xanax.

  4. No, it’s not you. It is indeed incredibly bad English. With all I see in comments every day, those people will have no trouble deciphering anything that’s thrown out. We, on the other hand, will have no idea what’s being said unless we give in to their new language/languages. I won’t. I admire the printed word and well turned paragraphs from fine writers. I guess I’ll be shuttered in with my little library. Books do make fine friends. They’ve not let me down these some sixty years. I don’t expect they’ll start, as there are plenty yet that I don’t have and Amazon is pretty quick with deliveries. Sorry, I just took off on the grammar thing because at last I run across someone else who notices.

  8. ‘America’s 60 Families.’ The book is expensive but I’d suggest getting it and others as family reading before they’re gathered up and burned. Fascism has taken a strong root in the US, and more eyes need opening. At least the ones who will allow themselves the luxury of knowing who and why. I wonder how many people have recently visited or at least googled the Georgia Guide Stones. We’ve never been so divided, and certain never been invited by “them” with such violence and threats to divide, conquer and change those who don’t “fit in” with the rainbow people.

  13. Masks may slow some transmissions but they do not stop a virus like covid, not unless you get the right kind of mask, and I don’t think they’re sold to the public. They’re expensive. The first line of defense is skin - proper hand washing, cover any breaks in the skin; keep your skin intact. Still, if the virus is strong enough and it’s on something you get, you can get sick. Not trying to ruin your day further, just sharing some facts. It’s going to come to people making their own masks when we can get what we need to make proper ones. What gets me is (and I love CFB) people who are going to games when they can get tickets. No outbreaks among those people or the players. Interesting, don’t you think? Frankly all this is heading towards ‘Captain Trips,’ from ‘The Stand,’ except it’s got darker implications. That’s all that Stephen King left out - the how and where. But do wash your hands and use wipes on anything you touch in public places if you live somewhere that has a lot of cases. I think spring is going to be bad, in many ways.

  17. He was hit five times at near point blank range and, after some dawdling around by his ??security??, those same guys take their time walking him to the vehicle. All, of course, after they had stood there calmly while gunfire was smack in the middle of where they stood (hardly noticing anything amiss until it was ‘time’). Right. Nothing about this smells to high heaven.
