They were not exempt of the ire the Nazis possessed at anyone they chose to deem ‘not Aryan.’ Priests, cardinals, monks, bishops, Christians, Jehovah’s Witnesses, political prisoners, resistance fighters, spies, and of course some Jews who didn’t get sent to the death camps. Fewer Jews by far at Ravensbrück. Mostly the rest, including nuns whom they considered inferior or spies against Nazi Germany.
