  1. Well they aren’t a different race. Being Jewish is having a different religion. They’re not a “race,” much less a “different race.” And the Holocaust was man’s inhumanity to man, which has been said since WWII. She was merely repeating a commonly used phrase in describing the Holocaust history. I don’t care for Whoopi Goldberg at all but that’s a different conversation. She was right in what she said, and the politics and antisemitism came screaming in from left field. You won’t find one Jew (or one person who knows better) who will say that Judaism a “race.” Good grief but people are nuts.

  2. People don’t read. I do, and history is my subject of preference. Reading these comments makes me want to throw up - people actually think that the Jews are a race. That’s incomprehensible.

  3.  @Dreamhiippy  Being Jewish does indeed have nothing to do with race. It’s a religion, and though I know to expect today’s people to be pretty far behind on history, it’s still an eyebrow raiser when people say that Jews are “a different race.” ‘Black’ is a race. ‘Filipino’ is a race. ‘White’ is a race. A Jew is someone who has a different religion than a Protestant or a Pentecost, etc. Personally I can’t stand Whoopi Goldberg but that’s for other reasons. She did say the correct thing, that the Holocaust (a word she mispronounces) was “man’s inhumanity to man.” I don’t understand how you and so many, too many other people get this so wrong. Tana Williams’ comment is exactly right.

  4. The Holocaust was about race? The Jews aren’t a “race,” they’re Hebrew. They’re a different religion. Race has nothing to do wit it except for Hitler’s idea of the “perfect Aryan race” which he and most everyone else were not. Clearly you don’t read history. Apparently, hardly anyone these days does any reading. What a sad world.

  5. The “real” Jews? The Hebrew people, created by God Almighty? Yea. They are the real Jews who we’re given a different religion, a different tongue, different everything. The Bible is very clear about the Jews. God tells everything, throughout the entire OT. And God does not, cannot lie. People do. People try twisting God’s Word - they sound so silly sometimes - sometimes. Yes, God cannot lie, but people do. You were saying - ??
