Some spider silk also has a green color. Orb weavers are another spider that weaves beautiful webs. I have some every summer, and love to watch them on my patio. I can set my watch almost by them, and every morning they take down their parlors, ingesting it all to be able to spin again at late evening, except for the tether lines which are heaviest and used for anchoring. That’s some impressively tough silk. It takes a little under forty minutes for a large one to spin her new parlor each night. Fascinating!

A grass spider doesn’t spin a web. Those are wolf spiders, and they hunt on the ground, with crickets being a main staple.

You guys deal with funnel webs, among others, not to mention other species of ‘large and deadlies.’ Megan goes nuts over running into a web from which its owner has fled out of fear for its own safety. I get the feeling Megan would not be walking her dog Down Under.

@AussieD7902 When one is accustomed to his surroundings, by chance or by birth, it’s never a big deal - until something happens, of course. Then it’s worrisome if you’re also out of yelling range to the nearest person. Stay safe, mate. From a friend in the Deep South of the US, where we worry about food and football, but not necessarily in that order, lol!
