@ Well, my ancestry is Scots Irish. Some things f my people came here centuries ago. My generation and several generations before mine were born here. We fought the French, the British, and yes - we fought the Mexican armies south of the border from Texas, and I am a natural born citizen of the (pay attention here) United States of America. Notice we don’t fly Spanish, French or British flags with our Stars and Stripes. The United States of America. How difficult is this for you to comprehend? What currency do we use? What form of government, what laws? What century are we living in? We’re the United States of America, period. For crying out loud, grow a brain. You people just sound ignorant with your past history.

@Castillodearagon So, they were here then. Whose country is it? It’s the United States of America, and if you can’t get that through your head then maybe you should leave. It’s been the USA, it IS the USA, and it doesn’t matter who was here first. Get over yourself. If you don’t like it, LEAVE.

@ Well great. That’s all well and good. The past is indeed the past, and history is indeed history. But if you’re spending dollars here because it’s ‘your country’ as you say instead of pesos or euros and you’re calling the United States of America ‘your’ country, then be proud of it. If you’re more proud of your Castilian heritage then grab a flight out to Spain, exchange American dollars for euros since the peseta is no longer the currency of Spain. Or you can hop the border to Mexico to find your ancestors. You can exchange your American currency for the pesos there. It seems like that would solve a lot of bellyaching since the arguments are always rooted in past centuries (emphasis on ‘past centuries’). Best of luck.
