I have a lovely cast iron tea kettle. I had no idea how it was made. I’ve been afraid to use it because I’m afraid of it rusting, and it’s so heavy. I’ve thought about getting rid of it because it’s been a ‘show piece’ in my kitchen (and it’s heavy). Now I know it’s definitely a keeper.

@TheMurlocKeeper Thank you! I’m definitely going to look into that. It’s a shame for it to just be ‘for looks.’ I should’ve looked into it before, but I just really had no idea about the history of them. Had a prize egg, didn’t know it, til now ~~~~~
