@patrickhorvath2684 It may have been. I think pretty much of the combat vintage stock were color shoots. But it’s odd that they’d convert color to b&w. I wonder if this was originally released in color? Could’ve been. Seems backwards, though, doesn’t it.

@patrickhorvath2684 Color film did look pretty crude, now that you mention it. Maybe it’s why the transition from b&w to color was a bit slow, and many films required the old b&w shoots. That’s some major strafing for sure! I’m watching a film now on different weapons systems from the war and those 88s were so massive. You remember those were outlawed after WWI until Hitler snuck them back into play in ‘35. Three (deaf) guys per gun. The guy with his ear practically against the barrel calling the shots, telling the guy behind him when to fire. Cauliflower ear, yikes!
