Max has super intelligent analogies for surfing vs fighting.. with fighting you can manipulate your opponent into what they might do so you can set yourself up for a counter or open up for a potential single leg shoot or bull rush take down.. with surfing you have to control the motion of your movement or else risk getting clobbered by some big ass waves (depending on size ,)
