Check the main cabin vent inside the engine bay behind the battery. Stuff usually finds it's way in there that gets neglected and leads to interior flooding. Check all of the water drain holes with a prob, and spray nozzle.

The coil packs have a tool that pulls them out. It looks like a wrench with a weird angle.

First question? Why in the world are you draining a Mercedes from the bottom? Mercedes have one of the cleanest oil and filter change jobs of any car ever made. Mercedes oil changes are done via extraction from the top. A $30 basic oil extractor on Amazon for the bare minimum. Once all the oil is gone then you run clean oil through it, do a flush and extract again. Then you can pull the pan. There's no need to pull the oil plug from a Merc unless you're cleaning the plug itself and replacing the o-ring if there's a leak. They typically don't ever leak. Even in the owners manual it says use an extractor.

Important: run a bacterial cleaner through your air system. You can just spray Lysol through the exterior air conditioner air intake. Just spray the whole bottle with the fan on HIGH and all vents open with the ↘️➡️ on. Clean each vent from the inside as well. Keep all the windows down. Might take 15min but you'll want to wait until the fumes die down before driving it anywhere.
