I use All Weather tires 🤷🏾‍♂️ the Nokian WRG4, Michelin Cross Climate 2, Continental DWS06 Plus and Toyo Celsius are all better in the winter than most winter tires if you have to deal with more wet cold roads than snow roads. Where a winter tire will win out is with all out snow and and ice braking. But I live on the East Coast and we have plows so our roads just end up being a sloppy mess and wintery mix. Snow tires don't brake as well in the wet as All Weather tires, which are just as good as winter tires when stopping on snow and ice. The difference between an All Weather tire and All Season tire is night and day. Definitely don't use a All Season tire unless your climate never sees snow or freezing roads. The crazy thing about the Nokian WRG4 is they became more grippy as temps dropped. They drive better now at below 40° F than at +70° F
