Saying it doesn't have gas emissions is like saying there's no sugar in diet soda. Where does electricity come from? Not until the where, electricity comes from eliminates the use of gas and the disposal of batteries used, and processes used to recycle the vehicle will it be emissions free.
There's several processes that need to be eliminated. Development energy used from a clean source, the actual product and its imported parts (tires, brakes, rubber, plastics, metals, electric wires, nuts and bolts, etc.). Once it's out of service, what clean energy process is used to dismantle, recycle and reuse.
When your old cars go to landfills to be recycled, are those plants using clean energy/electricity.
They've only solved 1/4 of the issue, just part of the story and that includes all EV manufacturers even Tesla but Elon is smart, he buys back his cars.
