My mother is 83 and her obesity has caused quite a few health issues that include vascular, joint, spinal, nerve and heart. I so wish that she weighed less especially because she has Alzheimer’s and if she ever became bed ridden, there’s no way to get her out of bed without having a hydraulic lift. If you’re young, please watch your portion sizes and daily calorie intake. You don’t want to slowly have your body fall apart and be in pain when it’s preventable.

You don’t need to starve to be at a healthy weight. Just be sure to watch your portion sizes and don’t go over the daily recommenced calories. No starvation required!

I don’t understand what the fascination with having a thigh gap is and why it’s so desirable? Do you think it’ll make you more attractive or something? I’ve always had one and I don’t think about it because it doesn’t affect me in any way.

She’s allowed to explore and if wearing lingerie makes her feel sexy, then good for her!

Yes, the common factor is wanting to crash diet and lose weight instead of making necessary lifestyle changes and sticking with them. It's easier for them to make excuses rather than face the truth.

Please have your vision checked!

Kloe, I’m 6’0 and I feel your pain! I usually tower over women and most men.

My mom is 5'6 and about 203 lbs at the age of 83 and her body is dearly paying for being obese. I wish she had lost weight when she was younger since she wouldn't be in such bad shape today.

Wow, I’ve never heard of anyone describing binge eating as it making you feel powerful when you’re indulging. I really want to understand why it makes you feel that way?

You shouldn’t be judging anyone to begin with when their lifestyle has nothing to do with you. Really, don’t you have anything better to do than to worry whether someone is dieting or not?

Yes, it’s a lifestyle change and not a temporary diet! Too many people restrict food to try to lose weight and long term it’s not sustainable. Better to watch portion sizes and calorie intake.
