@sh0rtyb0yp1mp That could be because sometimes those in poverty have more money flow through their hands. They get the freedom of not being a work slave on top of high paying side gigs that offer freedom to choose when to work. Off the books is not taxed. they show no income some then get free healthcare and other government assistance. They are likely empty pockets not from lack of money coming their way but the way they consume they have a most have the newest item mentality so always throwing all these things away to replace with the newest. They can blow hundreds a week going out partying or drug addiction. Sometime those that try getting out of ghetto realize they must work hard for little return having half their earnings taken through taxes leaving them short for NESSITITES but earning so no assistance no health care not able to afford food, why wouldn't they consider turning back to their freedom to be able to buy luxuries have time to enjoy things
