  2.  @AmericanEducationIsTrash  Not true at all. That's a common misconception for people who don't do that kind of work. I used to work for a large national polling company (starts with the letter N) and call campaigns weren't "call X phone numbers" we had to reach specific demographics and didn't stop calling until they were reached. We sampled for things such as age, race, gender and sometimes other things depending on who was paying us. You'd have campaigns that couldn't end because we needed to talk to a unicorn: a black man over age 65. And believe it or not we're pretty good at telling people upfront that we aren't telemarketers. Most love to share their opinions.
