Did he have to do that smarmy smile the whole time?

@lljaggers1961 You're disgracing the teachings of Jesus. You're framing this as you having to change your beliefs? Nobody is forcing you into a same-sex marriage. You just want the right to be able to discriminate against a protected class of people. Mind your own business.

@kenbeebug5211 You do not have the right to discriminate against a protected class of people. How is what you want any different than businesses denying access to people for the color of their skin?

@kenbeebug5211 You don't even know what bill we're talking about lol. This bill is about requiring states to recognize same sex marriage. The ramifications of a state accepting a marriage has legal and financial consequences. Marriage isn't a religious event which is why atheists do it all the time. The bill has nothing to do with changing how people think or feel it's about a state discriminating against same sex couples.

@kenbeebug5211 Exactly! And this bill has the support of the majority so it's good legislation. I love it when people agree with me by accident.

I laugh at her fake crocodile tears every time I see the clip. "I can't actually show emotion. So I'll just raise the pitch of my voice into a squeak!" 🐁

@Cuffsmaster I don't hate him at all.

@kenbeebug5211 Show me evidence that the majority of Americans are against same sex marriage.

@cmnr8487 Their worries have no merit. A person is either attracted to others who are the same sex or they aren't. There is no recruiting, there is no conditioning. The only thing changing at a societal level is people aren't forced to hide it like they used to.

@cmnr8487 Having worries is not the same as wanting your state to avoid legal recognition of same-sex marriage. People can feel however they want as long as they don't discriminate against folks for protected classifications such as sex, race, gender identity, age, nationality, and so on.
