  4.  @devilsson6660  You think it's illegal to ask somebody to show medical records? HIPAA has a very very narrow privacy protections. Your company can even purchase your medical info on the free market and not violate HIPAA.

  6.  @devilsson6660  So you agree that I'm right about HIPAA. An employer cannot ask a doctor to give out medical info. But you're wrong, companies absolutely can buy your medical information from a 3rd party. John Oliver did a whole episode about it.
