@Amir_97 "As of March 2023, Israel's population stands at approximately 9.73 million. Jews make up the majority at 73.5% (about 7.145 million individuals).[3] The Arab community, spanning various religions excluding Judaism, accounts for 21% (around 2.048 million). An additional 5.5% (roughly 534,000 individuals) are classified as "others." This diverse group comprises those with Jewish ancestry but not recognized as Jewish by religious law, non-Jewish family members of Jewish immigrants, Christian non-Arabs, Muslim non-Arabs, and residents without a distinct ethnic or religious categorization.[4]
Beyond the predominant Jewish and Arab communities, there are also smaller ethnic groups, such as the Circassians, Armenians, and Druze."

@ Likewise, I'm in Construction, in Toronto. Not as bad in our Industry. However, around Christmas time, 2020, I was working for one of our bigger Contractors, and we were given a questionnaire by H.R, asking our pronouns, sexual identification, and race. I quickly informed the guys to rip it up. One of the guys even asked, "Is this that Woke shit I've been hearing about?" So I guess no-one is safe from this mind virus. : (

A Conspiracy is exactly what the word implies, and there certainly was a Conspiracy to cover up the Lab Leak.
A Theory is a proven Hypothesis, and is therefore useful for making predictions. In this case, predictions regarding a Transfer of Wealth, A Global Socialist Takeover, a Loss of Freedoms, Vaccine Passports, etc., etc...
Calling someone a "Conspiracy Theorist" is to insist their Hypothesis regarding a particular Conspiracy has no grounds, whatsoever, and is therefore not worthy of further investigation. But as we have seen, the Lab Leak Hypothesis has been tested/proven, and is therefore a bona fide Theory.

@SquaredCircIe Ah, so you're into the whole "big guy oppressor, little guy oppressed" thing, huh? Well, if that's always the case, then Israel is not the oppressor, but the oppressed, seeing as they have been attacked many times by much larger surrounding countries/states... often in unison. Moreover, there are less than 20 million Jews, worldwide, but nearly 2 Billion Muslims. That's a 1:100 ratio! I'm guessing you've never thought about it that way?

@ameliam7898 Fauci told two lies, initially, and flip flopped on both. But in either case, it lead to the Virus spreading.
First he said masks don't work (which is true, especially where cloth masks are concerned) while also saying the Virus was not dangerous, because it was not transmissible, human to human (which was the 1st lie)... Thus the Virus spread.
Then he said the Virus is transmissible, (which is true), but not to worry because masks do work (which was the 2nd lie)... Thus the Virus spread.
Then he tried to cover up for his lies by lying yet again, by saying he lied about masks to save them for Medical Personnel/Procedures.
As for his 3rd lie, I look at it this way. In Construction, one is Legally compelled to wear certain PPE, given the task/circumstances. So, imagine being told "Do not wear the necessary PPE, in case a Doctor or Nurse may need it... when you get injured and end up needing care, as a result of not wearing it."

@jamesclark5028 Then you are aware, someone like me, with a Long, Full Beard cannot be fitted properly for a Mask or Respirator.
Additionally, any study I've perused shows a very well fitted N95 only stops about 15% of droplets, under pressure of a cough or sneeze. And seeing as it is the case that the huge majority of Viral Particles are found in the smaller, vapourized droplets, which pass right thru the mask during normal breathing, it is clear the huge majority of any viral shedding also passes right thru the mask.
And no one can fit a mask well enough on a human's face to meet the same standards as fitting a mask on a manikin head... which does not constantly change it's features/shape due to normal facial movements. And even if one does manage to get a good, tight fit, it becomes very difficult to breath properly. Trust me, I know. I have worked in Construction for nearly 40 years, and have been subjected to more than my share of Dust.
And on that note, N95's are Dust Masks, not Respirators. Surely you must know the difference, given your professional experience.

For those still denying the Effectiveness of Natural Herd Immunity, you are missing the fact, even though Sweden's approach was mostly one of Advice, rather than Mandate, many Swedes did indeed Isolate themselves more than usual. And as tallard666 pointed out, it is difficult to achieve Herd Immunity when huge cohorts of individuals are, in fact, under restrictions.
As for the Effectiveness of the Vaccines, I would point out they are estimated to be in the 40-60% range... FAR below their purported Efficacy of 95+%. And as for the ever increasing number of Variants we're seeing, (which are even less Effected by the Vaccines) I recommend watching Bret Weinstein's Interview with Geert Vanden Bossche, as well as any and all Interviews with Dr. Robert Malone. It is quite possible Mass Vaccinating into this Active Outbreak/Pandemic may very well be driving these Variants, and at an ever increasing Rate.
Moreover, there are an un-precedented number of Adverse Events connected to these Vaccines, compared to previous Technologies, which should give any Epidemiologist cause for pause.
One thing I noticed was, Tegnell never mentioned Treating Covid Patients early on. He appears to have "put all his eggs into the Vaccine Basket", like so many others. I find this disturbing, to say the least. For more information on Early Treatment, I recommend Dr. Peter McCullough's Interview on Expanding Awareness relations dot com.

@C_R_O_M________ Indeed. This is why I prefer to distinguish what I mean by CFR and IFR. The first, of course, being based on confirmed infections, the latter based more on guesstimates. Globally, out of approx. 28,000,000 infections with an outcome already, about 1,000,000 resulted in a bad outcome; so a CFR of about 3.5%. But even just 3 more infections for every confirmed infection, brings the estimated IFR down to 0.9% (cfr ÷ 4).
As you know, some have suggested 25-80x more infections than what has been confirmed, bringing the estimated IFR down to less than 0.14%. And if one considers how many of those deaths may not have actually been caused by Covid, the IFR becomes statistically approaching zero.
Nevertheless, even using the inflated numbers, nearly 99.99% of humans have survived this Virus, thus far.

@heliotropezzz333 Another way to put it, might be, Peter learned to play "devil's advocate". This is an important "skill" one must learn, if they desire to investigate/debate any subject, thoroughly.... Iron sharpens iron, and that sort of thing... You appear to be implying, Peter is just arguing, for arguments sake. But with that, I would have to disagree, wholeheartedly. He is being very forthright, in my judgement.
One must count the costs, always. And he and others have done so... or are at least doing so, to the best of their abilities, given the many influences/factors involved. If one wants to know how these shutdown measures will affect the economy, unbiased economists would be the folks to listen too, I would think. But too many folks are getting their "news" from headlines and click bait, these days... This is not good. ;(

@heliotropezzz333 Here are New York States numbers:
https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/views/NYS-COVID19-Tracker/NYSDOHCOVID-19Tracker-Fatalities?%3Aembed=yes&%3Atoolbar=no&%3Atabs=n
Subtract number with ("at least one") comorbidity, in each age group, from total number in each age group, to get number of "healthy" people that died in each age group. For example,
20-29 ... 44 , which is only 0.5% of total fatalities, minus 25 with comorbidities = 19 ... Which is 0.22% of 8,627 fatalities ... SO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER OF ONE PERCENT OF TOTAL FATALITIES were 20-29 and "healthy".
You need to stop reading headlines and magazine articles.... and look at the fucking data. You are the one lacking understanding, because you lack the discipline required to study, and put things in there proper perspective. You are essentially, a troll, just causing disruption and confusion. And no, reading an article, in a magazine, in a fucking waiting room, is not studying.

5:00 ... In Canada, trudeau kept saying, we're focusing on pushing the legislation thru. Most people assumed he was talking about financial handouts, but he was referring to legislation giving the gov't and police more power. And before they knew it, folks were getting $880 fines for walking their dogs, skateboarding in empty parking lots, walking on an empty beach, hiking, bicycling, etc..
So the rules are changing, and quickly.

@badrelalaoui1771 I was once "diagnosed" with a Hernia. I KNEW I had a Groin Strain, and even explained to the Doctor how my Personal Case History supported MY diagnosis, and not his. Nevertheless, the good Doctor booked me for Surgery.
I chose, instead, to get a 2nd and 3rd Opinion from the two Best in the Field, at the Shouldice Clinic. Turned out... I had a groin strain.
Nevertheless, this Doctor still insisted I had a Hernia. So, I told him to send me for a 4th Opinion (5th, actually, if you include mine); to someone he knew and trusted. Wanna guess what the 4th Doctor involved concluded after examining me??? I told El Doctor to put his knife away, as I was going to seek Strain-Counter Strain Therapy, which he had never heard of. I was 80% better after a single treatment. I then performed the next few treatments on myself.

@MrRudyblast As for the term "palestinians", I would point out Palestine is/was always a Region/Territory, not a Nation or State... the huge majority of which was given to the Arabs, post WW1, and the small remainder being partitioned, which made way for a "Jewish" State (which welcomed non-Jews, btw), and a "Non-Jewish/Arab" State.
Many times, over the past 7 or 8 decades, the non-Israeli inhabitants were offered their own State, but their Arab leaders chose War, then Terrorism, instead. The Arabs started every War, and lost, including losing Territory... which the Israelis agreed to return to them, under conditions of Peace. But the Arabs never wanted Peace, so we now have the current situation. So, if you feel compelled to BLAME someone, I suggest you point that blame at the Arabs.
And when several Wars didn't work, (the very same Wars that added greatly to the current Refugee situation we see in Gaza, btw), they switched to Terrorism. And, so again, we have the current/on-going conflict.
Personally, at this point, I think a 2 State solution is impossible... because of the Arabs and their open hatred for the Jewish People. In fact, I have come to think Israel's Borders should be extended/established, as to reflect the territories gained by Israel during those Wars, except for maybe the Sinai.

@kennedysan1045 again, you are assuming if it spreads, death numbers will sky rocket, across all demographics. They will not. There is zero evidence to support this notion... Protect the small minority of folks who are vulnerable to serious sickness and/or death from this virus.
My elderly parents are in isolation... And so am I... Why???? How is my sitting at home, unemployed, protecting my parents????And don't say I could spread the virus to other healthy adults, and they could, in turn, infect them... because they are in isolation, not just from me, but from everyone! Why is this so fucking hard for people to wrap their heads around??..?
3
-
3
-
3
-
@kennedysan1045 yea, pointing out the fact that one is educated, is an act of desparation. Right.
I am aware of the 91. In fact, I posted about it, recently. So I'm certainly not trying to hide anything from anyone. Perhaps it is you who needs to look at that situation, and see what the experts are saying. They are doing much better testing, to try and determine if it was re-infection, or a case of poor testing, and premature release from quarantine. Moreover, they offered no info. on age, health, etc. of the 91 involved.
Are you aware, the huge majority of those hospitalized, recover? Imagine, people in their 60's, recovering from this relentless killer virus. How can this be so???
You keep assuming I am not well informed. You obviously have a lot of catching up to do, so chill, "champ".

-
3

@calkane8480 I never said 100%. That is putting words in my mouth, in order to make what I am saying look stupid. You need to grow the fuck up, and stop being a troll.
New York State... 20 - 29 year olds, without at least one serious comorbidity... 0.22% of serious cases... 0.01% of all confirmed cases, serious or not. ... 0.00009% of the state's population... 0.0000057% of the U.S. population.... Leaving 99.99991% of New York State's population, NOT DEAD.
So, zero? No. But less than one quarter of 1% of severe cases, and only one, one hundredth of a percent of confirmed cases, or 1 / 10,000 confirmed cases.
3
-
3
-
@zodglubby I saw a vid, a few weeks back, interviewing the Doc in charge of all the covid cases, in Milan? IIRC?...One of the hot spots in Lombardy Region, Italy, for sure.... At that time, hospitalizations had been increasing fast, and were still coming in quite steadily. As to their bed, ventilator, etc. availability, he said the hospital and i.c.u. systems were certainly being "strained", and approaching full capacity, and that was an obvious concern, but he also outright denied they had already been overwhelmed, like the socialist media and there minions were claiming.
And, he said, measures were already being taken to increase capacity, in every regard. Italy's numbers are coming down nicely... regardless of the lockdowns. lol ; )
3
-
@kennedysan1045 They did not lock everything down. They allowed it to happen organically. The people had enough sense to avoid large groups... This is basic social distancing 101. The West should have done the same. So, you still have not explained why New York's much more drastic lockdown measures have not shown better results than South Korea or Sweden.
Face it, you cannot justify these draconian measures. You insist we are too far into this, to change what we're doing, without any explanation as to why it's too late to switch to South Korea's way of handling this. You can try all you want to spin the facts to support lockdowns, but at the end of the day, people in South Korea are still eating at restaurants, going to work, out walking the sidewalks and parks, using public transit, etc. And they were doing these things while the virus was at its worse, so...
No hype. No panic. No delays in getting folks masks. No fights over toilet paper. No left wing media accusing their leader of killing millions. No mass unemployment, into the 10's of millions. No multi-trillion $$$ bailouts or earmarks. No sudden changes to legislation. No threats of punishment for "non-essential" driving or store purchases............

@donniedraftdodger7457 20/20 vision, thanks. I watched the videos. It was clear from the beginning he was suffering from some level of physical distress, as early as his getting out of his vehicle, and being helped across the road. He became combative, resisting arrest. Later, body cam footage confirmed all this, as well as confirming the other 3 cops did not pile on top of him. And the medical examiner confirmed the knee to the posteriolateral aspect of his neck did not cut off his breathing, nor the blood flow. Moreover, audio proved he was complaining of breathing issues long before the altercation at the cop car.
But by all means, feel free to believe the lies and propaganda, and destroy black communities in his name.
3
-
@donniedraftdodger7457 you can't know if he'd still be alive. He was a very unhealthy individual. He complained of trouble breathing from the very beginning of his arrest. He went into panic/paranoid mode when the cop first came up on him, begging him not to shoot him, several times. He continued to complain of breathing issues for nearly an hour.
Why was an ambulance called, and then raised to a level 3 emergency, well before floyd passed out?
Why was he portrayed as an angel by the media? Why were we told he was getting his life together, when in fact he was on speed when he was arrested. Why didn't the media point out he was a felon, with multiple charges and jail sentences? The whole thing stunk of a false narrative from the beginning. One guy asked, what if he was your son? But failed to ask, what if he had killed your son while driving around wasted? What if he wasn't released so soon after pointing a gun at a pregnant woman's belly? Maybe he would have died in jail?
George Floyd was a drug addict and a thug, and a victim of his own choices. There was no grounds for murder charges, plain and simple. He was 6'8" tall, and could easily handle the pressure of a knee to the posterolateral portion of his neck. MMA fighters handle way more, all the time.

Owens criticized Crowder, publicly, for pointing out how the DW was kowtowing to Google/YouTube. He accused them of caring more about the money, than fighting the good fight against Big Tech Censorship. And, as we all know, she vehemently defended the DW, at that time.
We also know, many people love to call Jews "Lovers of money". So, for her to now quote THAT PARTICULAR Jesus quote, it can certainly be considered hypocritical, or at least inconsistent on her part. It can also be considered as being in very poor taste/judgment, especially given the current circumstances in the middle east. She was basically saying God (more specifically, YHWH) is not behind Israel at this time.
And folks wonder why Shapiro was offended???

Lockdowns made no difference in Quebec, Canada. And look at Sweden's neighbours... 90% of their deaths were seniors, with comorbidities, mostly in long term care... just like Sweden. They all failed their seniors, not just Sweden. Now compare to every major country, and it's the same... the elderly sick, especially those in long term care facilities, worldwide, represent about 90% of fatalities. So, when the lockdowns end, what or who will protect the elderly sick, in Sweden's neighbouring countries???

@elizabethlibero1878 explain all the deaths in nursing homes and chronic care facilities, then. And don't tell me, thousands of seniors died because a couple of selfish pricks decided to throw a frisbee around, in an otherwise empty park..The virus was sent into these homes thru sick patient transfers, and the very people who were supposed to be caring for and protecting these sick elderly people, i.e; infected staff and management. They blew protocol, and in addition, spread the disease throughout changing areas and such. Test samples have proven this.
Take away these deaths, and you're left with almost no deaths... about 10% of the total. So Sweden would drop from 3000 to 300. Italy, Spain, France, U.K., etc, all down to 10%.

Conspiracy simply means at least 2 people conspired.
A Hypothesis is a proposed explanation for an observable phenomenon. In other words, a hypothesis is an educated guess about the relationship between multiple variables. A hypothesis is a fresh, unchallenged idea proposed prior to conducting research. The purpose of a hypothesis is to provide a tentative explanation for an occurrence, an explanation that can be either supported or disproven through fact gathering.
A Theory is an explanation for a phenomenon that is widely accepted and supported by facts. A Theory is confirmed by many proven facts, meaning a Theory is unlikely to change. It is a broadly accepted explanation for an occurrence.
The purpose of a theory is to establish a general principle that clearly explains a certain phenomenon. While a theory is not a prediction, a Theory can help make predictions about other yet unexplained phenomena.
A Conspiracy Hypothesis is, therefore, a (somewhat) educated guess concerning a Conspiracy, while a Conspiracy Theory is a tested and proven, i'e; fact based explanation, regarding a particular Conspiracy.

Dwight Cook yes, I have noticed the outbreaks of violence are very similar to the outbreaks of the corona virus. Hot spots, here and there, for the most part, but treated by the media as an equally all-encompassing imminent threat to everyone, everywhere. It's all fear mongering.
That said, I have been entertaining the idea of NYC and Seattle being turned into autonomous zones / penal colonies. Access only, no Egress. Those with lifetime sentences transfered there. Anyone who commits crimes like we are seeing, sent there. No help of any kind allowed, from anyone, anywhere... and let it all play out. Could make for some very interesting reality t.v., if nothing else.

I always figured they lied to Trump... especially about the Vax. But his biggest mistake may have been not exposing these liars more thoroughly, post election steal.
To this day, I don't understand why he still takes credit for the failed Vax??? Sure, still taking credit for Project Warp Speed I can understand, given he was lied to about the safety, efficacy, etc., of the new mRNA technology, but for the actual Vax, itself, after the tech has failed so bad???

@empiremonkey Every Theory begins with a Hypothesis... A best guess, if you will. Then, further observation, inquiry, evidence gathering, and testing/confirming determine whether or not the hypothesis is sound. Then, and only then, can one claim to have a Theory. A Conspiracy Theory, therefore, is a proven Hypothesis concerning a possible Conspiracy.
Given the very unusual circumstances surrounding this incident, it should be no wonder folks are making guesses, asking questions, and demanding confirmation of the "facts".

@TrishDigginsDesign To give a little perspective... I spent $9,000 Canadian just on Lithium batteries, $1,200 on Solar Panels, another $1,200 on controllers, etc ... Just to have Solar in my little one person camper. And I still need to use my $2,000 Inverter Generator to meet my needs, when Solar is not available or sufficient. Moreover, all of this equipment will need replacing within 10 to 20 years.
It will take Trillion$$$ to turn the U.S. into a so-called Green Energy State, and it still will not be sustainable or viable.

@eichtheeditor8547 I said many, not every. You need to read more carefully. I never claimed to be a scientist, but I have learned from professionals with decades of experience in their relevent fields of expertise. And you need to define what you mean by climate scientist? There is no degree program as a climate scientist. If you desire to do your own experiments, have at it. But you may want to study the many earth and atmospheric sciences, first, if you wish to dispute with those who have excelled in their fields of study, for decades. Good luck. And if by ever increasing temps, you mean the 1.4C increase, over hundreds of years, while coming out of an ice age, well, I don't see the need for alarm. We are in an interglacial period, about to head into another glaciation, so I'd be more worried about freezing to death, than melting, if I were you. You want a link? You could start by watching the many videos available on you tube, without immediately dismissing everything and everyone who doesn't support your alarmist view. Then, you can look deeper into the subjects that really interest you... Or, you could just continue believing headlines and media reports, while ignoring the actual scientific data. It's all up to you.

The only way to stop the virus, is a properly planned and executed full lock down. Like I said, a half assed attempt at a lock down will do nothing, and has done nothing, to stop the spread. If properly planned, folks could have calmly stocked up on necessary supplies, and business, industry and the healthcare system could have planned accordingly. Then do a planned, instead of panicked lock down, worldwide, for 3 or 4 weeks; during which time, any serious cases could have been handled appropriately.
But, of course, this would require cooperation on the part of all major countries. I'm guessing China would not have cooperated.

@kennedysan1045 If the vulnerable go out, unprotected, they are putting themselves at risk... Not me. Not everyone else. They are to blame, themselves.
Likewise, if I walk out into a busy street and get hit, whose fault is that? All the drivers? If so, then we need to eliminate cars and driving, so that children and old folks, and even the blind, can wonder the streets, without fear of being run over. Yea, that should work.

@kennedysan1045 yea dense, like South Korea and Taiwan, and....
I know who it targets. I know who it kills. I know how it kills. Shall I go on?
You know, not everyone is as uneducated as you, in these matters. I have a formal education in Anatomy and Physiology. Do you? I have watched biologists and chemists teach how this virus operates, in the body... and I understood it... cuz I'm educated!
And I never said go back to business as usual. You are clearly suffering from selective hearing. This is the 'all or nothing' scenario, running around in your head. You think only the current measures can work, and any suggestion otherwise, must mean doing absolutely nothing at all. No one is saying do nothing. Do what makes sense, based on the data. I would not pay to have my transmission replaced, cuz I have balding tires. How do you not see this?
2
-
@kennedysan1045 covid deaths, covid deaths, covid deaths, that's all you focus on... deaths deaths and more deaths, but only those covid related, of course, cuz no other death is nearly as significant as a covid death.
If a healthy kid gets killed by the flu, or a car accident, oh well, shit happens... But if an old, dying senior dies earlier than they would have, lock it down!!! Lock it all down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a maroon. ;/

@kennedysan1045 Countries doing lockdowns are seeing the same curves as those who are not. But, as their numbers drop, you will no doubt make the claim it was the lockdowns that brought the numbers down... All the while, having no explanation as to why the numbers also came down in countries without lockdowns.
Lockdowns have been in place for several weeks now, and the average time, from symptoms presenting 'til death, is less than 18 days. So why such a lag in fatality numbers, if the lockdowns are working? The fact is, they let the virus spread until hundreds were infected, and then changed their tune, and told people maybe they should wear a mask, and avoid public transit. Then the lockdowns began, after it was too late.
Please explain why South Korea is seeing only a handful of new cases and deaths per day?
Plesse explain why Sweden saw only 17 new deaths, and 12 new deaths, over the last couple days, and why both their daily spread rate and daily death rate are quickly approaching + 0%, without lockdowns.
2
-
@kennedysan1045 sure... Just look at New York City. If you take them out of the equation, U.S. numbers aren't that bad. Hell, the State of New York ain't that bad.
They lied, regarding wearing masks... New York Times, Feb. 5th, " wash your hands, ditch the mask" U.S. Surgeon General, Feb. 29th ... don't wear masks.... They were also told it was safe to use mass transit, without protection....This created a huge outbreak, at rates more than double that of Italy... who was expanding lockdowns, at the time. Then all eyes were on NYC. All the hype, all the panic, all the denial on the part of the politicians, who didn't want to discuss their deceitfulness and gross negligent behaviour.
So the lockdowns began, after it was too late. And the lockdowns will be no more effective than if they had just told people the truth, and made masks available. In fact, doing so would have stopped the sudden exponential rise in covid patients, in the first place. Those countries without drastic shutdowns, who were honest with their people, and who respected the people enough to trust them to use good sense, will likely see better numbers, once this settles down, by summer. So it's not too late to abandon this notion that lockdowns, and mass unemployment, and who knows how many bankruptsies, is our only course of action.
South Korea was several weeks ahead of the U.S., so it was just a matter of looking at how their approach was working. But no, that was not the plan. The democrats had it all set up to run all their pet projects/earmarks thru congress, unchallenged... Look into that scandal... 6 trillion $$$ is just the beginning. Last count, a few days back, it was costing over $400,000.00, per week, per covid death, just in unemployment payouts. And that number will be in the millions of $$$ per week, per death, as the death rate drops, and the unemployment rate continues to go up by the hundreds of thousands, on top of the 16.6 million put out of work, already. And that doesn't include the billions of $$$ in business bailouts, and said earmarks. So they can come up with trillions of $$$ for payouts, but cannot manage to get masks to the people at a tiny, tiny fraction of the cost... Capitalism didn't fail you, the democratic party fucked you, ass to mouth.

@alishanty "there’s no reason to think children would be any different."
Excellent point. Vaxxing children will not decrease asymptomatic/mild infection among them. Nor will it decrease Infectiousness among them. And seeing as children are not prone to serious infection or severe disease, anyway, there is nothing to protect them from.
If anything, the vax may very well interfere with the child's natural immune system... especially the mRNA/Viral-Vector vaccines... not to mention the more immediate vaccine-related health risks.
I'm near 60, and given the choice, I would go for Natural Infection and Early Treatment, above all. But seeing as the Health Authorities have taken it upon themselves to make Early Treatment all but unavailable, I am considering getting an Inactivated-Virus Vaccine, like Sinopharm. But living Canada, that may not ever be possible, either.

I don't buy into the notion, it is all just due to incompetence... especially on the part of the liberal gov't. They lied concerning mask wearing, transmission, and so on... just like in new york... It's criminal.
Early on, for example, S. Korea knew it was highly transmissable, person to person. And when asked, we were told Canadian Intelligence was being kept up to date by other countries. Moreover, our federal gov't knew S. Korea was the most experienced and informed, regarding coronaviruses, and yet chose to ignore their recommendations and measures for dealing with a corona outbreak, and instead, chose to follow Chi-nah's lockdown measures.
Now, how many are dead in Canada? And how many of those are the people they claimed to be protecting, by doing so?

@Podcastforthewin The only thing sweden failed at, was protecting the elderly... just like here in Canada... Lockdowns have nothing to do with flattening the curve, obviously.
I compared Sweden and Italy in regards to testing, cases, and deaths. Adjusting for population, Sweden has nearly 3x the number of confirmed cases, per capita, than Italy, yet only 1/2 the deaths, per capita... showing a higher spread does not corrulate with a higher death toll, necessarily.

If the Vaccines are to thank for Low death numbers amid Very High case numbers, how does one explain the fact Belgium saw ~13X as many cases during their 2nd wave, but only ~0.8X as many deaths, compared to their 1st wave... long before Vaccines were even available?????
Fact is, Australia's Lockdowns and Vaccines have only resulted in a 3rd wave, with Far More cases, and the Same Number of deaths, compared to their 2nd wave. Lockdowns are not stopping the Spread, and the Vaccines are not reducing hospitalizations and deaths. It was announced, recently, 78% of Australia's Covid Hospitalizations are those who are Fully Vaccinated! It's been a complete Failure!

@ Yes, I know. And I responded with "truth hurts?" Canada would collapse, pretty much overnight, if the U.S. withdrew all trade, their military support, and subsidies. Yes, it sucks, but it's true.
Btw, I am a big advocate for sovereignty; both personal and National. However, I am also capable of seriously considering Trump's arguments regarding absorbing Canada. And it's a lot to consider. Moreover, his rhetoric regarding this has increased lately, so it's a conversation that must be had. It's how he operates. Hopefully there will be capable leaders, who will rise, and help us navigate this issue; sans the usual political bravado.

@steviegbcool First of all, it was the Manufacturers who claimed ~95% >>>Efficacy<<<. Secondly, >>>Effectiveness<<< refers to actual Real World results. And third, the majority of Hospitalizations are actually those who are double Vaxxed... regardless of what the Media, FDA, CDC, Gov't., and Vaccine Manufacturers would have you BELIEVE.
Most studies are now showing an Effectiveness of around 40%, meaning the majority of those who have been vaxxed are getting Infected after being Vaxxed, called Breakthrough Infections, as well as becoming sick (Symptomatic), being Hospitalized, and even dying, after being vaxxed. Apparently you are oblivious to ALL of this going on????

@charlesweaver9297 To my knowledge, the topic of debate was whether one should just accept what Authority figures say, or should one do his or her own homework. And more specifically, Fauci's and the CDC's flip flopping on masks, etc..
Apparently Seder would be taking the first position, arguing we can trust people like Fauci. I, for one, would love to hear Seder's argument in favour of this, seeing as I'm one of those who does his homework, and knows for a fact, Fauci is a liar and a flip flopper.

@gordon8609 I was commenting on Main Stream Media's coverage/narrative/propaganda, not you personally. Unlike most people, I actually watched the press meetings with the organizers. In fact, the videos were readily available on Y.T., for all to see.
I've had folks tell me, in person, there was no attempt on the Organizers' part to keep traffic flowing, and then used terms like "occupation" to describe the Protest. Of course, none of these folks ever took the time to actually confirm it, one way or the other; but choose, rather, to trust their "News" provider.

How many died in car accidents, or of cancer, or the flu, etc.? Do you know, without googling it?
34,000 flu deaths in the U.S., this past season... meaning 34 million cases, nationwide. Did you get a daily running tally, while that situation was unfolding??? ... 34,000 ÷ 6 months = 5,666 dead per month, on average... meaning some months there were considerably more deaths than that... Imagine, as many as 10,000 dead in one month; several of them children; and not even a peep out of the liberal media.
But yea, it's just the flu... and we have a vaccine for the flu, so we're good... Nothing to see here! ;/
2
-
@kevinbuckley8458 context, my friend, context!
It's easy to get caught up in the tragedy of it all, and lose perspective. Yes, this is a novel corona virus, but every year there are several flu viruses going around, and some mutate... making them novel flu viruses
And yes, it took time to figure this thing out, and that is ongoing, but we had plenty of data, weeks, even months ago. I appreciate your concern and passion, but sometimes one must put emotion aside, in order to think critically. This is all us "number crunchers" are doing. There is no disrespect intended, and no calous ignorance involved, either... Just folks looking at the facts, from the bigger perspective, and assessing what gov'ts have done in the light of the overall facts.

@arlenemuhammad9853 Carlos said Deaths, not Cases. Crowder shared some Israeli Data, recently. I crunched the numbers, and indeed about 4 out of 5 Covid related deaths were those un-vaxxed.
The issue is, there are a countless number of vaxxed individuals who are (breakthrough) infected, but have little to no symptoms, and are thus walking around shedding, and thus spreading, the latest variants, such as Delta.
You may recall, with Sars1, it had a high Mortality Rate AND presented with severe symptoms, very early on. As a result, these Infections were Identified and Isolated rather quickly. This lead to the Virus not spreading as far and wide as it otherwise would have, if it had not presented with such severe symptoms, so quickly.
This is how Viruses go. So now this mass Vaccination Campaign, in the middle of an outbreak/pandemic, is causing the Virus to be less lethal, but much more wide spread. Moreover, these "Leaky" Vaccines (which are only 40-60% Effective) are driving the evolution of these Variants, which are evolving at an exponential rate.

Hi, 410 ppm represents 0.041 % of the atmosphere, not a 0.41% increase in co2. (also, notice the extra zero/decimal place). That is an increase from 0.028 % of the atmosphere (280 ppm) over approx. 270 years, (1750 - 2020), so an actual increase of 130 ppm, or an extra 0.013% of the atmosphere.
0.041 % ÷ 0.028 % = a 46 % increase in co2 levels. ( not to be confused with 46 % of the atmosphere ). Add to that, the widely accepted, well known fact that increasing co2 gives diminishing returns. So, for example, a doubling of co2, ( or a 100 % increase in co2 levels ), will only result in approx. 1*C temp rise. So, even at 560 ppm, (2× 280 ppm), or 0.056 % of the atmosphere, temps would rise only 1*C. We have seen an approx. 1.4*C increase, over that 270 years, indicating there are (many) other factors at play.... Hope this helps. ; )

@garyha2650 we are all products of our environment. (and i am not convinced we are the first round of homosapiens to build advanced societies on this planet... but that's a whole other discussion). as we discover new 'dying' species, we also discover many more new living and thriving species we were not yet aware of. the alarmist camp is, of course, very one sided on this, focusing only the natural extinction process... the result of natural climate change... simple cause and affect.
back to your earlier comment, agw definitely qualifies as a cult. i'm pretty well versed in fundamental christianity, as well as several other christian cults, but i have focused more attention on scientology, as of late. the similarity in "tactics" is undeniable. just look up ron hubbard's fair game policy, to start. i have long thought scientology has been a social engineering project in the making. they have had the support of several administrations, and are now worth billions. the whole damned thing is scripted.

@Joli The point JP was making was the issue of "criminal" vs. 'illegal". In Nazi Germany, it was "legal", for example, to feed one twin known harmful chemicals, to "better observe the effects". Was this "criminal" in your view, or would you condone, even embrace such experimentation, today???
Fact is, the majority of fully-transitioned individuals either commit suicide, have lifelong, even life-threatening medical problems, or at the very least, regret their decision later in life. But I'm guessing your progressivism won't allow you to even consider such things?

@frogmouth It is indeed difficult to compare any two countries, or cities, as demographics vary widely. So I try to focus on patterns, such as the overall linear and logrithmic curves, and age groups effected. And there are often many similarities, with or without lockdowns.
I find too many people are constantly comparing Sweden to only countries who did lockdowns, and have lower numbers. But I think it is more correct to compare countries across the board, as best as one can. And sure, Sweden is in the top 10, for fatalities, but that's also compared to many countries with only a handful of cases and fatalities.
One thing is for sure though, Sweden's curves did flatten out, regardless of letting the virus "rip" thru society. This demands an explanation by those insisting lockdowns are absolutely necessary to ultimately slow the hospital and fatality rates. Many were predicting considerably more hospitalisations and deaths in Sweden... As for their number of fatalities, everything points to elder care... and that applies to more than just Sweden. .

@Robert-xs2mv I agree with your last post. In fact, I was thinking about this just this morning, after watching a discussion between Jordan Peterson and Stephen Fry. It is too easy to just claim people having a sense of morality proves the existence of some God.
And yes, as an Atheist who has spent many years studying the Bible, I do not buy into the claim the Bible has ALL the answers, seeing as every time I read it, I have MORE questions.
That said, there are things that can be considered absolutely true. For example, if I say cement is harder than styrofoam, and someone does not believe me, they are welcome to punch a piece of styrofoam, and then punch a cement wall.

@agenthex actually i was an honour role student, top of my class, in advanced math, so let's try to get past the usual bullshit, shall we?
Again, it is not to be compared to one or another city. >>> Nor does it have to do with population. <<< It is the overall number of deaths, worldwide, divided by the overall number of presumed infected, worldwide. So, 218,000 deaths, at ~ 0.1% mortality rate, would be an estimated 218 million infections, worldwide... Pretty easy to understand... 218,000,000 x 0.001 = 218,000. ( 0.001 = 0.1% ) or, 218,000 ÷ 218,000,000, x100 = 0.1%
1
-
1
-
@agenthex Why do you keep insisting on including a city's population? CFR and IFR are not population dependant. They are a ratio of deaths to cases, confirmed or not... No mention of population in there, anywhere.
And why do you think one or two hot spots represent the entire world? At one point, Lombardy Region, Italy, saw a CFR of nearly 18%. Even if actual infections were 4x that of confirmed cases, the IFR would be 4.5%. But then if you headed south toward say Tuscany, the CFR, and therefore, IFR, dropped significantly... Clearly, there are other demographics at work, here... You make no sense, yet you are very quick to hurl insults.
And if those numbers are correct, 1287 ÷ 2,344,000 is not greater than 0.1%. Or do you believe 0.055 is more than 0.1 ???

@zahariachirica5466 hi, do folks in the U.K. have google maps on their devices? Cuz, if they do, they are likely already being location tracked. And we all know social media tracks people, so it shouldn't be a biggie? Not sure?
I don't want to live in a surveillance state either, but I think if I was confirmed positive, with a potentially deadly virus, I'd be willing to be tracked, to some degree... it's a slippery slope though, so I can see the concerns many have. And you're right, Asian's view on gov't and society is different than the West's, in general.

@sleepykittyH A proper debate requires proper ground rules, adherence to those rules, and a proper setting. If this is even possible, given Seder's behaviour/tactics, I would love to see these 2 debate... especially on the Topic originally agreed upon.
That said, I can easily see why Crowder is not interested in giving this guy the time of day. Seder did himself no favours, if in fact he indeed thinks he is capable of winning such a debate, as he may have slammed that door of possibility closed forever. On the other hand, if he knows, deep down, he can only win by playing games, then he's better off taking his recently acquired spoils; in the form of content which he obviously has no problem twisting, editing and spinning, to suit his needs; and be on his way.

@ready1fire1aim1 Indeed. I discovered, years ago, while investigating the claim there are 2 Creation Stories, if one simply looks at the Hebrew text, and makes the simple distinction between Elohiym and YHWH, AND adam vs. ha adam, one can clearly see the 2 distinct, but interwoven stories. There are also 2 distinct genealogies that follow. And then there are 2 distinct conversations between Noah and Elohiym, and Noah and YHWH... YHWH demanding sacrifice, while Elohiym simply repeating what "He/They" said before the Flood... "go, be fruitful, and multiply".

@DoraKage the difference is, over 90,000 Swedes die annually, of all ages... including children... from any number of causes. But no one is freaking out about that, and suggesting we do what we can to stop all deaths. It's just not realistic. Sad, yes, but pretty much unavoidable.
My dad had open heart surgery about 2.5 years ago, and would likely be gone, if he hadn't. He is 85 now, and I am not so naive to think he will live forever. His dad died at 63. Again, sorry to hear about your loss, but it's all part of the human condition. No lockdown will ever change that, especially in light of the fact, these current lockdowns have not been proven to save any lives, seeing as those with lockdowns have some of the worse results.
Anyhoo, take care.
1
-
@DoraKage my best friend died when we were 30. I distinctly recall wanting the entire world to stop, and take notice... Didn't happen, of course.
As far as it being an un-natural virus, it is indeed from a natural progression, due to foolish behaviour. It was inevitable, as virologists have been pointing out for decades. This is not china's first time doing this. On that note, it was already spreading throughout the world, when we were told it was only in china and asia. Serology tests are now showing this.
Your uncle's passing is actually one of only 0.0003% of the pop. who passed due to covid, which i understand does not reduce your pain of personal loss, but imagine being a leader of your country, and telling over 10 million people they need to lock down, indefinitely, to save 3/10,000's of one percent of the population. It just doesn't fly, when you understand the actual numbers in their rightful context. But hype it up to the point which it has been, and it becomes easy to ignore context, and create great fear. My aim is to distill that fear, and end the fearmongering, whenever possible. The economic strife, and the resulting death and despair, will dwarf covid deaths, which to me is a slap in the face to both the dead and living. It is those causing this situation that care not for human life, not those of us who are trying tp end the propaganda craze.
And I am trying to bring attention to the fact every country has failed their seniors, which usually only results in more sweden bashing. Too many just do not want to look at the facts, but instead just keep throwing up death totals, without any thought to the overall situation.
1
-
@DoraKage (those 117 were not today, that's just when those deaths were registered)...
As with all of Sweden's covid deaths, 90% of those deaths were seniors with serious pre-existing conditions... but according to those who disagree with Sweden's approach, that is only significant when it comes to Sweden. So, many of those who claim to care so much about what is happening in Sweden, actually do not care, at all. ( not meaning you, obviously). These same people who say Sweden doesn't care about their seniors, are no where near as quick to criticize, say Finland... even though 90% of Finland's covid deaths were also seniors, with comorbidities, most of whom were in long term care, just like in Sweden. So the hypocricy is ripe, when it comes to Sweden bashers. They only desire to shame Sweden, while turning a blind eye to what is happening in their own pet lockdown country of choice. They simply do not care about the 10's of thousands of seniors, in Italy, France, etc. This, to me, is disrespectful to those who have died, and to the families of those who have lost loved ones, worldwide. These type of people are only virtue signalling, and taking the moral high ground, when necessary. But if they really did care, they would be as quick to criticize all the countries that did lockdowns, and still failed to care for the most vulnerable. But alas, they do not.
1
-
1
-
@spacew3909 0.03% of Swedes have died... 3,000 / 10,000,000... Alarmists predicted a minimum of 350,000 / 10,000,000... 347,000 more deaths, or 11,600 % more. ... At Sweden's current death toll, of less than 50 per day, it would take more than 7,000 days to reach the predicted numbers, or over 19 years... Of course, by that time, hundreds of millions would be dead, worldwide, in comparison.
At 8%, that's 800,000 Swedes dead. vs. 3000... An overage of 797,000 deaths predicted. Doh!

@tslee8236 These lockdown loving lefties do not (cannot?) understand, flattening the curve does not eliminate the space under the curve, but only redistributes it. That space under the curve represents hospitalisations and deaths. So none of that changes, in the end.
In Canada, there are ~5,000,000 seniors, over 70. About 200,000 of them die annually. About 4,400 seniors deaths have been attributed to covid... That's about 2% of Annual seniors deaths, about 0.09% of Seniors, and about 0.01% of Canadians. Then, if one factors in the comorbidities involved, those numbers are likely higher than reality... Clearly, all the hype and propaganda is not justified.

@101fobster lol. where did you get that from??? Are you aware, well over 99% of Earth's atmosphere is water vapour?
CO2 in Greenhouses is often concentrated at ~ 1200ppm, nearly 3X the current concentration in Earth's atmosphere... and they don't burn up, nor dry out.
And a full conference room can easily get as high, or higher, and no one spontaneously combusts , nor do they even feel sick.
In the past, Earth's CO2 has been as high as 6000+ ppm, and the planet was cooler, AND the oceans didn't dry up.
Give it up, already
1
-
@101fobster Two things... 1) I believe my reply was meant for paul. But either way, one of you deleted the post I was laughing at.. 2) I was laughing so hard, I mis-spoke, AND made a typo.. I meant to say Water Vapor makes up >95% (not >99%, the typo.) of Earth's >Atmospheric Greenhouse Gases<. (We were talking about Greenhouse Effect/Gases, after all.)
It is important to understand, the IPCC reports Atmospheric CO2 has reached 87% of it's effect on Temp. So, as CO2 continues to increase, thus Greening the Planet, Global Temp will increase by less and less, to a max of ~2*C, over several decades. This rise in Global Temp is not, and will not be enough to reach any "tipping points", nor cause Glaciers to melt, dramatic Sea Level rise, nor increase the frequency/intensity of storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc.

In many cases, yes, but Fauci proved himself to be a pathological liar from the get go.
Case in point: In Feb 2020 he said masks DON'T work (a truth), but not to worry because the virus is NOT airborne ( a lie). Then, just a few weeks later, he flip-flopped and said the virus IS airborne, but not to worry because masks DO work.
And in both cases, the virus spread rapidly. First, because he also encouraged people to go about their lives, and to continue to use public transit. And second, masks gave folks a false sense of security while going about their lives and using public transit.

So, this WHO expert agrees draconian measures are not the first choice. South Korea did it right, and the U.K. was on the right track?
In the U.S., 45,000 die from the flu, annually. Covid19 death rate, in the U.S., is less than 1.5%. But using 1.5%, the U.S. would have to see 3,000,000 confirmed cases to see 45,000 deaths. Currently the U.S. has about 54,500 confirmed cases. Covid19 cases would have to increase/multiply by 55X in order to produce the same number of annual deaths caused by the flu.
Italy's overall rate of spread works out to about 1.1x (Initially higher at epicenters, then dropping) At this rate, the U.S. could expect to see 3,000,000 confirmed cases by as early as the first week of May. But that's with a sustained spread rate, and a 1.5% death rate... I guess we'll know, soon enough.

Italy reached their spread curve peak, on or about March 21st, and their fatality curve peak, on or about March 28th., one week later. Canada started out about 3 weeks behind Italy, and due to different demographics and such, reaching those peaks faster, makes sense.
Looking at Italy's numbers, and ignoring those other factors, Canada's spread curve would have peaked around April 11th, so this is promising, and suggests Canada will not see the inflated numbers touted by many.

@frankeinstein719 you don't get it, do you. I have never supported these so-called lock downs. They are lock downs in name only. An actual lockdown would have stopped the spread dead in it's tracks. If well planned and executed, it would have done very little damage to the economy, as it would have taken only a few weeks, just like they originally said it would. Instead, they hyped everything up, deliberately mismanaged the situation, and ultimately failed to accomplish the goals of limiting the spread, and protecting the vulnerable.
If done properly, as cases revealed themselves within an already isolated environment, proper quarantine measures could have been implemented. People and small businesses could have been paid a 3 week stipend to get them thru, saving our society a shitload of financial devestation.
And if long term care facilities were properly managed, and strict protocols followed, half of all deaths worldwide would have been avoided. But the political/corporate will was never there to accomplish any of this.

@jameslydon3314 I don't know if I would say they "stole it" but here is an article from USA Today. (I cannot confirm or deny its absolute accuracy.)
Jerusalem has been captured and recaptured at least 20 times. It's been claimed by about as many countries and empires, and by three of the World's major religions.
Here’s a brief history of how a humble village on a scrubby hilltop became the Holy City that provoked centuries of dispute:
3,000 to 2,500 B.C. — The city on the hills separating the fertile Mediterranean coastline of present-day Israel from the arid deserts of Arabia was first settled by pagan tribes in what was later known as the land of Canaan. The Bible says the last Canaanites to rule the city were the Jebusites.
1,000 B.C. — According to archaeological evidence, King David conquered the city. He was warned that "even the blind and the lame can ward you off," the Bible says. He named his conquest The City of David and made it the capital of his new realm.
960 B.C. — David's son Solomon built the first Jewish temple. The Bible says the Israelites also fought many wars against another Canaanite tribe called the Philistines who lived along the southern coastline.
721 B.C. — Assyrians conquered part of the land of Israel called Samaria, and Jewish refugees fled to Jerusalem, causing the city to expand.
701 B.C. — Assyrian ruler Sennacherib laid siege to Jerusalem.
586 B.C. — Babylonian troops occupied the city, destroying the temple and exiling many Jews.
539 B.C. — Persian King Cyrus the Great conquered the Babylonian empire, including Jerusalem.
516 B.C. — King Cyrus allowed Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild. The Jews built the Second Temple.
445-425 B.C. — Nehemiah the Prophet rebuilt the walls of the city.
332 B.C. — Alexander the Great of Macedonia took control. After his death, his empire was divided into four, including the Seleucid Empire that contained the land of Israel and their ancient enemies the Philistines (Palestine).
160-167 B.C. — The Jews' Maccabean revolt, launched against the Seleucid Empire and Greek influence, eventually returned the city to Jewish control. The Jewish holiday of Hanukkah celebrates the purification of the Second Temple after the Maccabees reconquered the city.
141 B.C. — The Hasmonean dynasty of Jewish rulers began, and the city grew.
63 B.C. — Roman General Pompey captured Jerusalem.
37 B.C. — Roman client King Herod renovated the Second Temple and added retaining walls, one of which remains today and is called the Western Wall, or the Wailing Wall by Jews.
30 A.D. — Jesus was crucified by the Roman soldiers.
70 — During another Jewish revolt, the Romans destroy their Temple and exile many Jews.
135 — The Romans rebuild Jerusalem as a city of their own.
335 — Roman Emperor Constantine built the Church of the Holy Sepulcher over the spot where Jesus was said to have been buried and to have risen from the dead.
614 — The Persians capture Jerusalem.
629 — Byzantine Christians recapture Jerusalem.
632 — Muhammed, the prophet of Islam, died and was said to ascend to heaven from a rock in the center of where the Jewish Temple used to be.
637 — Caliph Omar entered the city to accept the surrender of its Byzantine ruler, the Patriarch Sophronius.
691 — The Muslim shrine known as Haram al Sharif, or the Dome of the Rock, was built around that spot where Mohamed was said to have risen to heaven, remains there today.
1099-1187 — Christian Crusaders occupied Jerusalem, claiming it as a major religious site.
1187 — Salladin captures Jerusalem from the Crusaders.
1229-1244 — Crusaders recapture Jerusalem twice.
1250 — Muslim rulers dismantle the walls of the city.
1517 — The Ottoman Empire captures Jerusalem and Suleiman the Magnificent rebuilds the walls from 1538 to 1541.
1917 — The British capture Jerusalem in World War I.
1948 — The state of Israel is established, dividing the city between Israel and Jordan.
1967 — Israel captures East Jerusalem and immediately annexed it, granting Arab (Palestinian) residents permanent resident status, but not citizenship.

64,000 cases is 0.1% of population infected. 6100 deaths is 0.01%. That leaves 99.9% not infected, and 99.99% still alive. Nearly half of all cases are in Lombardy, at 27,206 (43%), and the majority of deaths were also in Lombardy, at 3456 (57%).
Death rate for infected, is 12.7% in Lombardy, 10.8% in Emilia..., 10% in Liguria, 7.6% in Marche, 6.4% in Piedmont, 4% in Tuscany, 3.8% in Lazio, 3.3% in Veneto... The further you move out from Lombardy, the lower the cases are, and the lower the death rate is. These situations are more localized, than wide spread. Southern Italy is almost unaffected.

@iamyourvoice1776 It is a well known fact the reporting system is very cumbersome and time consuming, leading to a small fraction of A.E.'s being reported. There are many Dr.s and Nurses who have stated this, publicly. For example, McCullough estimates it at about 1/4 to 1/5 being reported, while others would argue it's even less being reported. So, say 14,000 deaths were reported, it would be, in reality, 56,000 to 70,000.

Cases per 100,000 in Western and Central Canada:
b.c. 8.4, alb. 5.2, sask. 2.1, man. 1.24, ont. 2.5, que. 2.1.
Sadly, the current average death toll is about 1.5% of these cases, (compared to a 4% global ave.). The flu averages 0.1%.
(These are the results of my own calculations, using the most current data from provincial and federal sites, and global news updating.)

What type of camera was mounted on the restaurant? According to the original footage, camera 2 is stationary. Yet it does not appear to be stationary in this edited footage. (Swings left then right, as Floyd is helped up, and is walked past the hydrant.).
According to the commentary in this video, the officer unholsters his gun. Why not show this from the clear view from behind? ( This happens before the driver moves to the other side of the street and would certainly have been caught on video. )
The view from behind shows Floyd having to be pulled from his car, and the original camera 2 footage shows Floyd falling down next to his own car, shortly after being handcuffed, indicating he was intoxicated, just like the store clerk said when he called in.
Additionally, there is no one right near the scene when Floyd falls again, and allegedly claims to be claustrophobic; something that was apparently not a problem while spending several years in a jail cell. Nevertheless, he was definitely resisting arrest; not to mention the obvious impaired driving. This does not appear to be a completely honest report of the events.
And what if Floyd had killed a kid, while driving around high on meth and drunk??? What if it was your son or daughter killed by this known repeat offender? Illegal arms charge, cocaine charges (3×), armed robbery and threatening a pregnant woman at gun point. What if it was your son or daughter killed by this "gentle giant"? It's hard to phathom how people can consider this dreg, a hero and victim?

@eg_369 Owens criticized Crowder, publicly, for pointing out how the DW was kowtowing to Google/YouTube.

@coheng1496 Indeed. I'm always saying "Words mean things."
Back in the day, I did many word studies, which led to a much better understanding of the texts, and even helped me solve a few quandaries.
For instance, I learned the Bible is, indeed, written from a dawn to dawn perspective, not an evening to evening one. This, and knowing eretz can mean world or land, as well as knowing the appropriate meaning/translation of a few other words, I was able to solve the long time controversy over the 3 days and 3 nights "in the tomb" not fitting the Christian Fri., Sat., Sun. passion narrative.
Long story short, according to the text, the passion was Thurs., Fri., Sat., and there was no Sunday ressurrection. (Not that I'm taking any of this as actual historical events.) This, of course blasts a hole in the entire reason for Christians worshipping on Sunday.
Anyhoo, it's amazing what doing a little homework can achieve.

Shroom Tea you gave me sources to opinion pieces that do nothing more than promote the official narrative. I asked for evidence. Apparently you do not know the difference.
Moreover, I have been trying to get people to stop simply bashing Sweden, and look at the real issue... the failure to care for, and protect the sick elderly, around the globe... NYC, Quebec, Finland, and so on, and so on. It's the same all over, lock downs or no lock downs. That's the real story, but apparently you are stuck in a rut, trying to shame Sweden for not submitting to political will. Either, you cannot grasp this reality, or you choose not to. Either way, it's getting old, especially seeing as all of you bashers and shamers have failed, at every attempt, to forecast Sweden's outcome, which is no better and no worse, on average, than any other country. In other words, their results are pretty much right down the middle, proving lock downs were not the deciding factor.
Moreover, when comparing test numbers, case numbers, and fatality numbers, to say Italy, and adjusting for population, Sweden has a higher case rate, and yet they have a lower death rate, proving the two are non-proportional.
Do you, or can you comprehend such things??? I don't think so.

@donniedraftdodger7457 and why, exactly, did floyd meet up with the cops that day??? Were they just casually driving by, and decided to racially target him? They were more than reasonable, given the circumstances. Even when he resisted arrest, they tried again and again to reason with him, and get him to calm down. Subsequently, he was pinned to the ground, and an ambulance was called. He was able to continue talking, without any noticeable difficulty... His only complaint? I can't breath... The same complaint he had been making from the beginning.
If he had not resisted arrest, he would have been taken to the hospital immediately, via cruiser. But no, he put into effect a series of unfortunate events which led to his own demise. No grounds for murder charges... none whatsoever.

@heliotropezzz333 as bret weinstein put it, this sars2 virus is using airplanes, the same way malaria uses mosquitos.
As for the spanish flu, like others have pointed out, it was a stone cold killer, attacking blindly. But sars2 is a "finisher", almost exclusively killing the old and sick, the sick, and those exposed to very heavy loads, like healthcare workers.
I think it IS important to compare it to the spanish flu. And it turns out, they are quite different.

@auntiepha8343 But seriously. They have Ear Sets and a Digital (near instantaneous) Translator, not to mention the ability to edit both the audio and visual, in order to produce a better flow. No one got played, here.
And Tucker did "push back", when it was prudent to do so. However, he asked several questions Putin had already answered. Putin was very clear in all that he said, so I don't know if re-asking those questions was for Tucker's sake, or for the sake of the American audience? If it was the latter, it was likely to make sure no one could claim Putin said/meant things he didn't. But, of course, there will be many of those who do, regardless.

@adamfrbs9259 wow, a personal insult, shocking.
Sweden implemented moderate measures in terms of public behaviour, but so did those claiming to be in lock down. Day cares and schools were still operating, caring for children of thousands of "essential workers". Grocery clerks were not wearing masks. Much of the Construction Industry was running. Etc..
So both strategies failed to actually eliminate the virus, meaning it's still around, just in varyiing concentrations. And the demographics regarding the vulnerable have not changed, nor has the virus in this regard, leaving the elderly still at risk.
My point is, half assed lock downs, coupled with a campaign of conflicting reports, hyteria, and a lack of certain data, resulted in the same outcome Sweden had... Lots of dead seniors in long term care, and nearly no school children, teens, or young adults. And under 60, the death rate drops significantly. So, basically anyone of school and/or working age were safe to go about their business.
But the media made it out to be the case that since the virus was spreading rapidly among most age groups, it was therefore equally as virulent among most age groups, and hyped up the few younger deaths that did occur, early on.
It is too early to discount herd immunity. Case data and serology testing show a wider spread among a large populace. Maybe not as wide spread as is required for herd immunity, but this does not mean herd immunity is impossibe; only that we're not there yet. And why would this be?
While the media was shoving case numbers down our throats, the reality was, positive test results were always in the single digits, even though the majority of the tests were being done on folks with some sort of symptom of something or other. And as testing was increased, and expanded to include more of the general public who had no symptoms of anything, the positive test numbers dropped significantly. This all points to a much lower r0 value, which would explain why herd immunity is taking longer than expected. And this would be good news from an evolutionary perspective, seeing as it would indicate the virus has not perfected it's ability to spread, and still needs to be of a significant "load" to be infectious.

@Gregorypeckory Israel is a Democratic, Secular State, that gives full Citizenship/Rights to all of their Citizens, regardless of Ethnicity and/or Religion. In fact, 21% of their Citizens are Arab/Muslim. So, your "ethnostate" comments simply do not apply to Israel.
Moreover, the Land was not stolen. It was bought and paid for. This is well documented. And yes, many people were displaced during the partitioning, but every effort was made to limit this.
And if one takes the time to look at what actually went on in the Palestine Region during the 1910's thru 30's they would see it was the Arabs who drew First Blood, each and every time. It's all documented, and there are plenty of docs here on youtube showing the history of the conflicts that arose, due to the Arab uprisings against the Brits and the Jews, in response to Jewish Immigration to the region.
Genocide? Hardly! If one looks at Gaza's birth, death, and migration (i.e; immigration vs. emigration) rates, they will see Gaza's population has grown well above average, over the last decade. As for the West Bank, you need to look into the agreements made between Israel and Jordan, and why "demarcation lines" were drawn, rather than actual Borders, after Israel won every War against them, and gained territory each time.
As for the alleged "land grab", post WW1, all of the Syrian Region, and the huge majority of the Palestine Region were given to the Arabs. The relatively small portion remaining was partitioned by the U.N., in 1947, by a vote of 33 to 13 (Britain abstained from the vote, btw.) Shortly thereafter, Israel was established, on mostly desert and swamp land, and the Arabs were offered the remainder. But that wasn't good enough. The Arabs wanted it ALL, then... and still do, now. And that is why they declared War on Israel in 1948, 1967, and 1973, and have refused every offer of yet another Arab State in the Region, over the past 75 years.

@sonneversets3530 No thanks, I'm an ex-christian, turned Athiest. But I can certainly feel the "love of christ" coming from you. ; )
You immediately accuse me of not knowing anything about Christianity. Then you say I have an un-accepting heart, because I don't accept whatever you say, yet call me arrogant?
And you have yet to explain why you use Christian symbology, and Christian Rhetoric, and obviously believe in "the holy trinity" , yet deny being in a Religion. You're obviously one of those Christians that thinks they're the only "True Christians", even though you take your marching orders from the Holy Roman Catholic Church, whenever you participate in Pagan Holy Days and the Sunday Sabbath. You are clearly ignorant of your own church history, as well as the roots of Christianity, yet call me the arrogant one?

@seeibe There is little to no evidence of children infecting adults. Contract tracing showed breakouts among school staff, for example, began with an infected staff member, not a student.
And besides, the vaccines offer a level of protection for the vaxxed, not the un-vaxxed. The narrative that my vax protects you, and your vax protects me, (or, in other words, the unvaxxed need to be vaxxed in order to protect the vaxxed), is absolute non-sense. Vaxxed or not, one can still be infected. The vax is to help prevent serious illness, not the spread.
While it is true the vax appears to shorten the length of time one is infectious, peak viral load is not lessened, thus an infected, vaxxed person is just as infectious, as an unvaxxed person, but for a shorter period of time.

@Doug_in_NC The Gregorian Calendar is Catholic, and to my knowledge, Jan. 1st is considered the 8th day, i.e; the day of Circumcision; thus the beginning of a new year/covenant. (Dec. 25th being day one, as you said).
As for it being the birthday of Jesus, I would argue it is the day the Sun is reborn, after spending 3 days and 3 nights "in the belly of the whale." (from a North American perspective, and as per the Sign of Jonah).
There is zero evidence Jesus was born on Dec. 25th, and frankly I do not believe Jesus existed at all, as I have yet to be shown any credible Extra-Biblical evidence of such. (And I can assure you, I did my homework on the subject.)

@Doug_in_NC Yes, I understand the reason for why they likely did it... but that, in itself, makes it non-arbitrary, and done for a particular reason. ; )
I would argue it was done because Christianity is basically an amalgamation of all things Pagan.
Of course, the early church fathers/apologists, when queried about how similar (even identical at times) their writings/doctrines/practices/beliefs/etc. were to pagan cults and other religions, they insisted either 1) they were unique to them, or 2) Satan and his demons previously went around, for millennia, teaching false religions that very much resembled the "True Faith" to come, in order to trick people into not "believing". (There is a term for the latter, but it escapes me.)

@mjy87 Here, read this:
On the 29th November, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish State in Eretz-Israel; the General Assembly required the inhabitants of Eretz-Israel to take such steps as were necessary on their part for the implementation of that resolution. This recognition by the United Nations of the right of the Jewish people to establish their State is irrevocable.
This right is the natural right of the Jewish people to be masters of their own fate, like all other nations, in their own sovereign State.
ACCORDINGLY WE, MEMBERS OF THE PEOPLE'S COUNCIL, REPRESENTATIVES OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY OF ERETZ-ISRAEL AND OF THE ZIONIST MOVEMENT, ARE HERE ASSEMBLED ON THE DAY OF THE TERMINATION OF THE BRITISH MANDATE OVER ERETZ-ISRAEL AND, BY VIRTUE OF OUR NATURAL AND HISTORIC RIGHT AND ON THE STRENGTH OF THE RESOLUTION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY, HEREBY DECLARE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A JEWISH STATE IN ERETZ-ISRAEL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE STATE OF ISRAEL.
WE DECLARE that, with effect from the moment of the termination of the Mandate being tonight, the eve of Sabbath, the 6th Iyar, 5708 (15th May, 1948), until the establishment of the elected, regular authorities of the State in accordance with the Constitution which shall be adopted by the Elected Constituent Assembly not later than the 1st October 1948, the People's Council shall act as a Provisional Council of State, and its executive organ, the People's Administration, shall be the Provisional Government of the Jewish State, to be called "Israel".
THE STATE OF ISRAEL will be open for Jewish immigration and for the Ingathering of the Exiles; it will foster the development of the country for the benefit of all its inhabitants; it will be based on freedom, justice and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel; it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex; it will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture; it will safeguard the Holy Places of all religions; and it will be faithful to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
THE STATE OF ISRAEL is prepared to cooperate with the agencies and representatives of the United Nations in implementing the resolution of the General Assembly of the 29th November, 1947, and will take steps to bring about the economic union of the whole of Eretz-Israel.
WE APPEAL to the United Nations to assist the Jewish people in the building-up of its State and to receive the State of Israel into the comity of nations.
WE APPEAL — in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months — to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions.
WE EXTEND our hand to all neighbouring states and their peoples in an offer of peace and good neighbourliness, and appeal to them to establish bonds of cooperation and mutual help with the sovereign Jewish people settled in its own land. The State of Israel is prepared to do its share in a common effort for the advancement of the entire Middle East.
WE APPEAL to the Jewish people throughout the Diaspora to rally round the Jews of Eretz-Israel in the tasks of immigration and upbuilding and to stand by them in the great struggle for the realization of the age-old dream — the redemption of Israel.
PLACING OUR TRUST IN THE ALMIGHTY, WE AFFIX OUR SIGNATURES TO THIS PROCLAMATION AT THIS SESSION OF THE PROVISIONAL COUNCIL OF STATE, ON THE SOIL OF THE HOMELAND, IN THE CITY OF TEL-AVIV, ON THIS SABBATH EVE
THE 5TH DAY OF IYAR, 5708 - 14TH MAY,1948.

@peanutbutterjellyfish2665 "The vaccinated patients are older, unhealthy, often they were bedridden before infection, immobile and already requiring nursing care,"
Simply change "vaccinated patients" to Covid-19 Patients, and you are describing ~90% of them, before the Vaccines became available.
So, what is causing a much younger, healthier demographic to become Sick and Hospitalized, since the Vaccines became available??? (I'll give you a hint... it's 2 related things.)
And why are Vaccinated Seniors still getting Hospitalized, if the Vaccines are allegedly 90++% Effective???

So, Italy's system was, admittedly, stressed... but not completely overwhelmed, as some would have us believe.
As of a.m. Mon. Mar. 23rd, 0.1% of Italy's population had tested positive, and 0.01% had succomb to the virus (about 90% of whom were elderly, and had at least one serious pre-existing condition). Death Rate varied from 12.7% in the epicenter, to less than 0.5% in the south of Italy... about 4% to 5%, avg. Currently, the U.S. death rate is at about 1.3%, and Canada's is at 0.9% (of confirmed cases).
Lombardy represented 57% of all covid19 deaths in Italy (3456 out of ~6100). Emi...Rom 13%, Piedmont 4.5%, Marche 3%, and so on. Spread Rate, Death Rate, and overall case rates, all decreased significantly as the virus spread out across the country. Italy saw about a 1.1X (AVERAGE) spread rate, overall. (I.e; 1 × 1.1 = 1.1; 1.1 x 1.1 = 1.21; 1.21 x 1.1 = 1.331, etc.) In reality, the spread rate was closer to 1.25 or even 1.3, initially, and then slowed. The same numbers are currently playing out in New York City, as of Mar. 26th.
For context, as of Mar. 23rd, 99.9% of Italians were not confirmed cases, and 99.99% had not died.

@keithziegler8881 How is the Pareto Principle not relevant? You said Capitalism is a flawed system. What IS flawed about it, if it isn't this "unfair distribution of wealth" I hear Lefties complaining about?
Capitalism has lifted countless millions of people out of poverty. As a result, quality of life, life span, overall health, etc., have all risen considerably, while starvation, disease, extreme poverty, etc., have all dropped in Countries with a Capitalist system. These facts are undeniable.
Do you just want to complain about everything and not look at the real issues? Is burn it all down your preferred solution, or do you honestly want to look for real solutions?

Meanwhile, Deaths due to Natural Disasters are way down. The number and severity of Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Forest Fires, Floods, etc., ALL down. If only these folks would take the time to really look at the facts. : (

@MattNolanCustom Yes, I have heard these explanations by some of the more experienced guys investigating this. In fact, even with my very limited knowledge, I was able to deduce, on my own, that just being closer to the roof, and/or being further back of the ridge could/should change the sound significantly. I mean, it's just common sense, right... especially with the roof having all those ribs every 2 feet or so.
That said, the shots would sound different if coming from a window, as well. How much so, I don't know? So, for me it's still inconclusive.
thanks for all your input.

500,000 out of 150 Mil. wage earners is only 00.33% of the working population. Even a Million people earning a Million $$$ a year is only 2/3 of 1% of the working population.
However, no one needs to make anywhere near a million $$$ a year to live a good life, in America.
Nearly 50 minutes into the conversation before the word 'Corporations' gets mentioned. Corporatism seems to be a huge part of the problem, not Capitalism itself. And then there's the Fed, and their debt based, fractional reserve banking system, and the inherent greed, inflation, etc., associated with it.
What products do Walmart and Amazon produce/manufacture??? And how is Communism not a Monopoly, if/when the Gov't. controls all production and distribution?

So I have comorbidity numbers for England, only. And if I add up total covid deaths from the rest of the U.K., they come up short, but I believe it has to due with updating dates, and such. Anyhoo, out of 22,050 covid deaths, in England, only 5% had no comorbidities... A little over 1% were under 60yrs, (238), a little over 2% were 60-79yrs, (481), and a little under 2% over 80yrs, (406). ... So only a few hundred "young, healthy" people, out of tens of thousands are recorded as dying from covid19.
This should be a wake up call for those insisting on locking down the young and healthy. And lockdowns have in no way protected the elderly sick... Gov'ts are admitting this, now. But they got what they wanted, in the meantime... More political and policing powers.

@keon5779 Prevent? No. Reduce slightly? Yes.
Operating Rooms are not like walking down the street, or going shopping. Surgical masks serve two purposes during surgery. Protect the patient being operated on from getting a >>> bacterial <<< infection from staff, and protecting the staff from the patient's bodily fluids... the outside layer of the mask is hydrophobic.
With covid patients, it protects the staff from the patient coughing directly on them, but that's it. ~65% of the respiratory droplets are in the form of aerosols, which pass right thru and around the patient's mask. >>> ~85% of any Viral Load is contained in those aerosols.<<< Moreover, under the force of cough, some of the larger droplets can be broken up, and pass right thru, as well. So the patient's mask stops ~15% of the Viral Load, at best.
And of course, those virus containing aerosols pass right thru the staff's masks, as well... and it is these smaller aerosols containing virus particles which can make it down into a persons lungs and cause CoronaVirus Disease (CoViD). The larger viral particles get caught in the sinuses, causing an Infection, but not the Infectious Disease.
Viral Load is a major factor in folks getting sick, which is why staff are at such high risk. Ventilation is key, in this case, which is why they say being outside is safer, and to crack a window for ventilation, when possible.
This is all basic stuff, known for decades.

@enyajungle "the larger implications" can only be established/understood if there is a Control Group in place. And in every case where there was, there is zero evidence any of the Covid measures had any significant (i.e; positive) effects. In other words, no one can say, with any certainty, masks, social distancing, lockdowns, or The Vax saved lives without a Control group to compare to. I, along with many others, are part of that Control Group, as I/we did not participate in any of those measures, and yet never contracted Covid.

@burtvhulberthyhbn7583 You mean the ones of people being ushered in by Capitol Police, thru open doors? Obviously.
Or the ones of Ashli being murdered?? Most definitely.
Or perhaps you're referring to the one showing a Lefty sneaking away to change clothes??? Yepper.
Oh, wait, I know which ones you're referring to... the one where the tall man is going around to people on the lawn, the evening of Jan. 5th, telling them "We need to enter the Capitol!", and then being told to "fck off, Narc!" by Trump supporters, followed by the one, the next day, when he is seen bending over and saying something to his buddy, who then grabbed a barricade and attacked a cop. (BTW, neither of these men were Trump supporters, but rather agitators)... I sure did!!!

Sweden compared to Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and U.K. : https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/covid-daily-deaths-trajectory-per-million?country=FRA~SWE~BEL~IRL~ITA~NLD~ESP~GBR ... Sweden compared to U.S. and Canada : https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/covid-daily-deaths-trajectory-per-million?country=CAN~SWE~USA
As you can see, Sweden's curve rose, flattened, and started dropping, just like every other country, >>> regardless of implementing lighter restrictions. <<<
But at about 45 days since 0.1/mil deaths, their curve nearly stopped dropping, and nearly flattened. https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/covid-daily-deaths-trajectory-per-million?country=SWE~FRA~IRL
Why? Because they failed to get the Long Term Care situation under control. About 90% of fatalities were the elderly, with at least one severe comorbidity, and about 75% of fatalities were the elderly in long term care.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1107913/number-of-coronavirus-deaths-in-sweden-by-age-groups/
https://www.france24.com/en/20200510-sweden-admits-failure-to-protect-elderly-in-care-homes
If they had gotten this situation under control, their curve would have continued to drop, just like every other countries'.

@figurehead3021 I spoke to an engineer several years back. He was a consultant to governments and the like. I asked him to confirm whether my conclusions regarding solar and wind were correct.
I told him I had concluded, Solar is more efficient and cost effective, on a small scale, (i.e; rooftop panels on each home), vs. Wind being more efficient and cost effective, on a large scale, (i.e; wind farms)... and he said I was absolutely correct. So I am confident in what I say.
I have 1200 watts of solar, and 15,000 watt hours of LiFePo4 storage in my little camper, along with a 2000 watt inverter generator, and various switching power supplies and chargers, for charging. So I have lots of personal experience in these matters. Do you?

@deathstroke334 "LOOK INTO IT" ... STFU, already, and learn a little actual History.
After the Bar Kokhba revolt, the Romans named the rather expansive Region Syria-Palestina. Over the Centuries, the vast area changed hands many times. Post WW1, (and the fall of the Ottomon Empire), the Brits and French were given Mandates over the S-P Region. Several new Arab States/Countries were formed.
In particular, the huge majority of the Palestine Region was given to the Arabs, and renamed Trans-Jordan... which eventually became Jordan. The little that remained of the Region was Partitioned by the U.N., by a 33-13 vote, in Nov. 1947. This paved the way for the Zionist movement to declare Israel a State, in 1948.
But before this Partitioning, the Arabs, seeing the Jewish migration to the area, rose up against the Jews, throughout the 1920's. The Jews (and Brits) fought back rather successfully. So the Arab inhabitants were then told by their Leaders to leave the area, and return after they eliminated the Jews from the area. Well, they failed to do so. And this was the beginning of the Arab Refugee problem. (Note: the Arabs that did remain were eventually given full Citizenship in the later formed Israel).
The Muslim Arab Leadership said they would declare War on the newly formed State of Israel, if it actually happened. And they made good on that promise, and thus the 1948 Arab-Israeli War commenced the very next day. 5 Arabs States, along with backing from the Soviets attacked Israel, but lost the War, AND Territory, i.e; Gaza and the West Bank. Then they tried again, in '67, AND 73... And again, they lost to Israel.

@MattNolanCustom Indeed, I've heard guys (Bell, for example) say the trajectory is wrong, especially concerning the shot to Trump's ear. However, I'm still out on that. It all depends on how far Trump turned both his body and his head, just before the shot. Without a direct overhead aerial view, or a 3D recreation, one simply cannot be sure at this point, imho.
Moreover, I think folks have been way too quick to dismiss Cullen. For example, he has shown live coverage of the North Hercules Team turning, and training their weapons toward the trees East of the Water Tower, while a lady simultaneously provides live coverage, saying there's a shooter in the trees.

The seeming tsunami of cases was the result of a back log in testing, and test results. But if you go back to the beginning, and chart those cases over real time, the exponential curve flattens, significantly. Italy's spread quickly dropped from about +20% in the beginning, to about +15%, then to about +8%, or a doubling about every 9 days, in only the first few weeks... well before social distancing could have had any major impact. At a doubling per day, like you often hear about, Italy's entire population would have been positive for the virus within 2 weeks.

To date, the Canadian Gov't's official stance is "do not wear masks". They chose, instead, to quarantine the healthy to protect the vulnerable. Now, nearly 1000 seniors have died, and over 100 outbreaks have been reported in seniors' care facilities and residences across Canada... despite the gov't's draconian measures. Our fatality rate is still at over +10% daily, and our per capita death rate is growing at 4-6X that of Sweden's, daily, who took no draconian measures. So, they've decided to look into the matter, and are making changes in regard to how seniors' residences, and long term care facilities are being managed, in terms of this viral spread.
The numbers clearly show, every country, besides Germany at this point, that chose to lock everything down, rather than supply the public with masks and honest information, all have much higher per capita death numbers. The lockdowns simply do not work. They have not worked, they are not working, and they will not work in the weeks and months to come.

We have good numbers, already. The virus has been identified, we have a test for it, and we know what sector of society to test, isolate, and monitor. Only 0.003% of Ontarians have tested positive, and 0.0004% have died. That leaves 99.997% un-infected, and 99.9996% still living... Like all the best experts have said, from the beginning, we need to isolate the vulnerable, i.e., those 70 and up, with underlying conditions.

@dallysinghson5569 97,941 total - 9,800 alleged Covid Deaths = 88,141... about 4% below average... even lower than, and following an already below avg. year of 88,766. For this reason I say alleged covid deaths.
All Cause Death Rate generally slows in summer. And daily Covid deaths are down to 10 or less. But even at the current all cause death rate, that 17,584 becomes 101,596 for all of 2021... about 11% (not 15%) above the 10 year avg.... 19% of those 17,584 were recorded as Covid. But as the chart shows, the avg, is lowest during summer.

@EmpireGamingWynter Feel free to peruse the Lancet article I posted, and show me how and where their conclusions are mistaken.
BTW, the "vast, vast number of Scientists" you speak of have neither done such experiments, nor conducted any analysis, let alone any meta-analysis of the data. Sadly, experts are only human, and thus prone to being misled, just like the rest of us. Worse, much of "Scientific Consensus" has come about in such a manner.
Apparently, many modern day Scientists share Ethan's view, and thus fail to do their own inquiry, simply accepting so-called peer review as legitimate, when in many cases, it's "buddy review", and selective editing by Journal Editors. Cosmology is a great example of this.
And no, there is no evidence masks made any appreciable difference in the spread of SARSCoV2. It appears you too are a victim, willing or otherwise, of the narrative.

@kevinbuckley8458 so, you have solid evidence immunity, be it herd or individual, is not possible with this virus?
May I suggest you spend some time studying the subject. We need to start testing people for antibodies, 1) to better determine how many have actually been infected, and 2) to see if long term immunity is possible, or if the virus is mutating sufficiently to make that impossible, in the long term. These are very difficult things to confirm , either way, but the thinking is leaning toward "herd" immunity being quite possible, because they know how humans have responded to other corona viruses. So yes, we need more testing, but a different type of testing.
But some will argue the risk is too high, and millions may die, but the numbers show the odds of a person under 70, in reasonably good health, are at extremely low risk of developing any serious symptoms... or long term lung and/or organ damage... which is another baseless rumour going around, btw.

@kevinbuckley8458 This is the latest, I guess.
https://m-en.yna.co.kr/view/AEN20200410006500320
The two "negative" tests, in 24 hours, that get someone released from quarantine, and listed as recovered, are swabs. I have not investigated, but I see some folks saying these swab tests are not very reliable. I have no idea, but I hope they're right, in this kinda situation. Canada has been testing only 6% positive... (which is actually higher than it was before the shutdowns and increased testing, which seems opposite of what many would expect.) But the KCDC is doing tests that take 2 weeks for results, so I guess now we wait.
They do not offer any info on the 91 "reinfected" ... Age, health, severity of symtoms??? Only that they were released from quarantine. They could be mostly elderly, or sickly, like usual. Not enough info to go on.
These are South Koreas fatality rates, by age. Click on the Apr. 11th link, and scroll down.

@macmcleod1188 Cases per million refers to known/confirmed cases. But as serology testing and studies are revealing, many more cases/infections went undetected, meaning cfr, ifr, and % of population infected, are yet to be determined, in any country.
Nevertheless, the majority of fatalities were those in long term care... worldwide, in every major country, in every highly populated area, in every province, state, region, etc., without exception. Age and location simply cannot be ignored, as they are clearly the most significant factors.
Wearing a mask while walking on a beach or recreating in a park does not change this fact. It all keeps coming back to a failure to protect the elderly sick, meaning the time to practice s.d. and wearing a mask, is when one is interacting with the vulnerable. And the vulnerable should also be practising s.d. and wearing a mask. There is simply no denying this. Look at N.Y. , and Quebec, for example; both under lock down.
Sweden is on par with the overall average, showing the result of their decisions is basically no different than other major countries. Simply put, lock downs did not protect the vulnerable.

@macmcleod1188 so, in other words, you will give your projections after the facts are already in? And you have the nerve to say I know nothing about forecasting? Every prediction you have made has been way off. Now you say, let's wait and see what happens, to see how far off you were, and then go from there?
Sweden's daily +%'s are double what they should have been by now; i.e; ~+1.5% instead of ~ +0.75%; which, coincidentally, would have been right on par with France's daily increases of ~+0.75%, adjusting for the timing of their waves. And the reason for this is clear... they still have not addressed their lack of protecting the elderly sick, nor their long term care facilities' issues... https://www.statista.com/statistics/1107913/number-of-coronavirus-deaths-in-sweden-by-age-groups/
https://www.france24.com/en/20200510-sweden-admits-failure-to-protect-elderly-in-care-homes
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-05-08/sweden-starts-criminal-probe-into-care-home-after-virus-deaths
... ~50% of deaths were in care homes, and an additional ~25% were those being cared for in their own home.
1
-
@macmcleod1188 Their daily rate is going up and down, day to day... just like pretty much everyone else's...
Apr 24-30, avg. of +2.257% daily
May 1-7, avg. of +1.714% daily
May 8-14, avg of +2.129% daily
May 15-21, avg. of +1.329% daily
May 22-28, avg. of +1.414% daily
... Looks to me like it's trending downwards.
You say their death rate is going up, but you are referring to their deaths per million... which can only go up, as it is an accumulative number . The only way it could go down would be if there was a miracle, in the form of a mass resurrection. The best it can do, is stop; but that would require a +0.0% daily increase, which France has yet to achieve, as well.
... Assuming Sweden's daily rate never drops, and remains around +1.5%; which is very unlikely; it will take approximately 6.5 months to reach 80,000 deaths. ( ~4400 deaths and a doubling every ~47 days).
1
-
@macmcleod1188 You clearly have a political bent. My guess is, you do not want to look at the situation in N.Y., due to the Governor, and Mayor, being Democrats. Am I right? And the gov't in Quebec is a Socialist gov't, so...
Moreover, these doctors you're relying on have apparently steered you wrong, time and time again. You take no interest in why Sweden's numbers have remained as high as they have, and choose instead to blame it on their lighter restrictions; all the while ignoring the huge elephant in the room. But hey, 2020 will be the year of hindsight, after all... so have it.
At least I can explain why I underestimated Sweden's number of deaths. Their curve was flattening; perfectly in line with every other major country, regardless of no strict lock downs. Now they have a fatter tail, than expected... and the reason is obvious. But that would demand you accept the fact, lock downs were not the major contributor in initially flattening the curves.
In fact, it can be shown many countries' curves began flattening, i.e; had reached their peak, and began falling, before they locked down, proving the virus had run its natural course, regardless. But hey, feel free to blame everything on those nasty Republicans, while old folks continue to die a slow painful death, under the Socialists' own watch.

@macmcleod1188 Comparing Sweden to France... https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/covid-daily-deaths-trajectory-per-million?country=FRA~SWE Sweden's curve rose, flattened, and began dropping, just like France's, regardless of implementing lighter restrictions. But then around 45 days since reaching 0.1/mil, Sweden's curve nearly stops dropping, and near flattens, again.
75% of their deaths were the elderly, with serious comorbidities, in long term care. If Sweden had gotten this situation under control, their curve would have continued dropping.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1107913/number-of-coronavirus-deaths-in-sweden-by-age-groups/ ... The numbers don't lie.
1
-
@macmcleod1188 If by "shading" you mean not reporting honestly, you are speculating; especially in light of the fact, Sweden's numbers are where they are.
Or perhaps you are just deliberately slandering Sweden's health care authorities... which you have already done several times, with your comments like "murderous" when referring to Tegnell and his policies/approach regarding this virus. If youtube was serious about stopping misinformation and hate speech, such comments would have been deleted.
At the end of the day, Tegnell is an easy target. You should try to be less myopic in your approach, and let the data lead you where it may. That is using the scientific approach, as opposed to an ideological/biased approach, which is rampant these days.
And no, they are not down to 10 deaths a day, on average... not even close. Where are you getting such figures???
1
-
1
-
1
-
1
-
@macmcleod1188 You and your beloved left wing media continue to misquote Tegnell. He never "admitted their strategy was wrong". That is twisting his words. Anyone capable of actually listening to what he says, knows this.
And now their daily +%'s have dropped to below +1%. But of course, your purely speculative statement, that their citizens are finally embracing more strict social distancing rules, is the only possible reason why, right?
You are so caught up in your own circular reasoning, you have no other choice but to continue speculating. Have you even looked at the charts I provided, or were you too busy looking for anti-Sweden/Tegnell propaganda???
Moreover, your goal of 80,000 deaths has now moved closer to being an entire year away... assuming, of course, the daily +% doesn't continue to fall. Are you willing to bet on whether or not that will happen?
1
-
1
-
1
-
@macmcleod1188 may 31st. zero deaths, and now an avg. daily increase of about +0.9%
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:COVID-19_pandemic_data/Sweden_medical_cases_chart
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/sweden/
You keep saying... 1) herd immunity didn't happen, 2) they increased their social distancing, out of fear ... Do I really need to spell this out? Hard to achieve 1 if you're doing 2. If Swedes are giving into the fear, they are only shooting themselves in the foot, like those who opted for half assed shutdowns, only delaying the inevitable, and losing the chance at gaining widespread immunity. This is not a failure of the strategy, but rather a failure of the people to trust in that strategy.
As for deaths, yes their older population was indeed ripe for the picking. Dr. Grupta pointed this out. In fact, their death toll was below average at the beginning of the year, then jumped well above the average for about 10 weeks. By week ending June 2nd, they were back to their average weekly death toll.
Moreover, the huge majority of deaths continued to be among the elderly in care... May 29 - June 10: <20 +0, 20-29 +0, 30-39 +0, 40-49 +0, 50-59 +9, 60-69 +43, 70-79 +89, 80-89 +191, >89 +113.
So, increased social distancing may have decreased immunity, and yet made no change to the overall demographics, where deaths are concerned, i.e; > 70 yrs old still account for ~ 88% of deaths.
1
-
@macmcleod1188 So, let me get this right. Your predictions have been grossly exaggerated, from the beginning, and now you claim the actual numbers are low, not because you were wrong, but because Swedes have changed their behaviour, and have increased social distancing? Then how do you explain away the fact Sweden's case numbers have been increasing significantly over the past 2 weeks, while presumably increasing their social distancing???
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1102193/coronavirus-cases-development-in-sweden/
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/sweden/ ... scroll down to daily new cases, and click on 7 day avg. at bottom of chart to see the curve of recent increase in cases.
Moreover, you fail to define who is meant by "the young population", then offer up a made up 1 in 500 number that does not reflect the data.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1107905/number-of-coronavirus-cases-in-sweden-by-age-groups/
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1107913/number-of-coronavirus-deaths-in-sweden-by-age-groups/
You are not very good at spin doctoring, and once again your statements are moot.
1
-
@macmcleod1188 well, it only took you a month to figure out the curves were flattening much faster than you were predicting... even though I provided the proof several times, using several sources... Nice to see you have finally stopped grossly over-estimating everything.
As for your ifr figures, I'm not convinced the data based cfr of 0.3%, among those under 50, lines up with your ifr of 0.2% among the same group. That works out to the total number of estimated infections, in the 1 to 49 age group, being only 1.6x the number of confirmed infections, i.e; 63/31,500 estimated vs. 63/19,398 confirmed. Seems rather low.
As for jumping the gun on the zero deaths, I posted that 11 days later. I am not aware of it ever taking that long to adjust the figures. In fact, it's June 12, and all my sources still say 0 deaths for May 31st. Go figure.

@macmcleod1188 2,000? Where does this come from?
I have checked with people who live there, and they say Swedes did not increase their social distancing as you have been insisting for weeks now.
Serology tests are not even near 100% accurate, as they require a minimum level of anti-bodies in order to be detected, so many more may have been infected than some studies show. And if not, this would indicate a lower r0, as I have already pointed out.
And you keep insisting their economy took the same hit as those who did more stringent lock downs, but have not provided a single source for your on-going claim.
Moreover, you claim children have had their hands and feet amputated, as a result of covid19. Add all this to your failed predictions, which are off by many thousands, and many months, not just a couple of weeks, and it becomes clear I cannot believe a single word you say.

16.6 million unemployed in U.S., due to shutdowns... At ~ $400 / week payout, that's 6.64 Billion $$$ a week... not to mention Billions in business bailouts and Earmarks. At present, that's over $400,000 per week, per covid19 fatality, just in unemployment. As unemployment sky rockets, and the death rate drops, it will be Millions of dollars, per week, per covid death.

TurboCMinusMinus so we should shut down Canada because 32 already sick seniors died, out of approx. 7,000,000 canadian seniors over 70 ??? That's 0.000457% of seniors. About 200,000 seniors die, every year, in Canada, and I should be freaking out over 32 ? And how selfish would it be of me to put my parents ahead of the health, welfare, and financial security of nearly 37.6 million Canadians? Huh? Your pseudo-moral-high -ground won' t work on me. My parents are at a potential ground zero, right now, so don' t think I can't comprehend the gravity of the situation.

How long do you figure 'til I can see my elderly parents again? This virus is not going anywhere, so?
Let's say I lock myself away for a month. The second I walk out my apt. door, I could get infected, head to my parents place... and infect/kill them.
The Korean experts have it right... This is an aerosol, so it hangs in the air and lands on surfaces. You can breath it in, or you can get it on your hand, and touch your mouth, nose, or eyes. You can also get it in your eyes while it's still airborn. Wearing a 95 mask and perhaps safety glasses will reduce your risk of infection way better than hiding at home, and occasionally going out into public.
And if it is so deadly to everyone concerned, then why are tens of thousands of construction workers still gathering in large groups on job sites? And working in Hospitals, and in community housing buildings, etc.???

@elizabethlibero1878 that depends on the situation. Just like construction ppe, there is a time and place. And I don't know what you consider social distancing to include, but again, I would ask sick people to stay at home, if they had a serious case of the flu, or wear a mask at work. Case in point, Last fall I was in direct contact with at least 4 people with pneumonia, at work. I passed it on to my elderly mother, and developed some mild symptoms, myself. That sucked, but we got thru it. And yes, these people needed their weekly income, so...
That said, I will be more cautious next week, when I'm at their place. We have already discussed basic measures we must follow to keep them safe. But they know the risks, and I was informing them about how to protect themselves weeks before the media or gov't did. I also predicted the mass breakouts in elderly care facilities, and was glad they were in their own apartment. So I think I have a pretty good handle on the situation.
But as for wearing a mask while bicycling or hiking a trail, no, completely unecessary. And when I shop, no, I do not wear a mask, but I am always careful not to cough or sneeze on anyone or anything, by keeping a hanky or kleenex at the ready, as well as keeping my distance from others as much as is reasonably possible.... Basic stuff... And if a sickly person or someone who is overly fearful, chooses to expose themself to such a public setting, it is their responsibility to take the necessary precautions., i.e; mask and glasses, and hygiene.

I recently watched a vid where these american protestors, who admitted to wanting a communist state (treason), were yelling about people not staying locked up in their homes, or not wearing masks, and calling them murderers, and saying the virus was super deadly and a threat to everyone of all ages... But then they had no problem being out on the streets, in large crowds, and lowering their masks, and talking directly into a likely infected mic, and to the interviewer, who was not wearing a mask, and could very well be infected. It was so obvious it was all about virtue signalling... It reminded me of the Scientology street gangs hassling anyone who dared question their doctrines.

@Shsjier Of course Gaza's population has decreased. But Israel's population decreased, too, on the morning of Oct. 7th. So, according to this reasoning, if Israel is guilty of Genocide, then so is Palestine. And not only based on sudden decreases in population, as the direct result of the actions of each other, toward each other, but even according to the U'N.'s very vague definition of Genocide.
Are you willing to agree/admit Hamas/Gazans committed Genocide, and are determined to do so, again.?

@garyha2650 not to nit pick, but i believe you meant to say "an increase TO 0.041%... not an increase OF 0.041%.
Yes, alarmists love showing pictures of land surface ice breaking off into the ocean... as if that is some new phenomenon. The simple fact is it's all part of a much larger, and much more complicated system, and to some degree or another, it is being renewed continually. But they claim this "ancient" ice is "gone forever, never to return"... and yet the polar ice caps are still there. And they always fail to mention the vast majority of sea ice is under the water's surface, out of view, thus making the sea ice look significantly less than it actually is. I generally ignore any and all close up shots, seeing as they can easily be taken out of context... the same way they love to bog us down with minute details, and charts, and figures... usually all taken out of their much broader context, in order to confuse the unsuspecting viewer. It's all quite pathetic, in my humble opinion.
I watched a video yesterday that first mentioned ice studies at the polar regions (plural), but then it focused only on the arctic ice cap shrinking, and conveniently failed to show the antarctic ice sheet, which was actually growing at the same time... very deceptive.
You raise an interesting question, though; one I had not considered. How do they know when there was no ice at the poles? What are the indicators?

100,000 u.s. cov19 deaths is a reasonable estimate, I would think. Italy's case peak occurred around Mar. 22nd., and now they are waiting for the death rate, and the active case numbers to drop. This will take at least a couple more weeks, with the number of active cases they still have on-going.
Italy currently has nearly 15,000 deaths... so let's round that up to say 20,000... and a population of about 60,480,000.
The U.S. has about 5.5x the population... so about 109,000 deaths. But that's still only 0.033% of the U.S. population, leaving 99.967% not dead.
Likewise, 99.976% of Italians are still not dead... (14,681 ÷ 60,480,000 ) × 100 = 0.02427% dead

@howiescott5865 Indeed, even John Kerry said, without China's cooperation, nothing the States does will make a lick of difference.
The whole problem starts with two FALSE notions:
1) CO2 is a Pollutant, and 2) CO2 Drives Temperature. Neither could be further from the Truth.
Now, as far as actual pollution goes, yes, running vehicles on fossil fuels is causing pollution. But this is not to be confused with the white clouds coming out of Power Plant stacks, which is primarily Water Vapour. Scrubbers (basically giant Catalytic Converters) are attached to Coal Plants, for example.
As far as producing Clean, Low Cost, Sustainable Energy, Fracking for Natural Gas is one Technology you need to consider and look into. And if you're thinking, "but NG could run out at some point", consider the fact the RARE Earth Minerals used in Batteries WILL run out at some point. Studies show, even at 100% Recycling, Mining these Minerals will still be necessary.
And then there is Hydro, which is what we mainly use here in Ontario. Tesla and Westinghouse made that possible.

On the rare occasion I do listen to her, I slow the speed down and really pay attention to her choice of wording. I usually catch her straw-manning the others' arguments by actually changing THEIR argument in real time.
Allow me to give an example. During the raid on Mar-a-lago, in the FBI's hopes of proving "the illegal possession of classified documents" (which if they had just checked Joe's garage, they would have had their evidence), Trump's Lawyers were not shown the Warrant before entering. In fact, the FBI refused to do so. and his lawyers were on the record complaining about it. And THAT was the topic of the debate.
But old Jessica, in her evil, conniving way, straw-manned their argument by claiming the others on the panel were saying there was no warrant, even though they had never made such a claim. Then she simply had to show there was one. At the end, they all sat there dazed and confused, wondering how it all went off the rails so fast.

I think she may have a demon... or, at best, she's a pathological liar, and a (lousy) spin doctor. For example, she just said Trump and his people lied about having a copy of the warrant... then said her sources say "they had the warrant there"... which, btw, no one has denied. Indeed, the warrant was there, and according to Trump's Lawyer, it was shown to her... but, no copy was given to anyone at the time.
She's a Devil at worst, and a bad liar/spin doctor, at best.

We need angels Not impossible, but VERY costly, as time limitations would require High Current charging. The higher the current, the more costly and resource demanding the equipment, by leaps and bounds.
Moreover, HEAT is generated by all things Electrical... especially battery charging. So, if the plan is to reduce Global Warming, charging huge batteries will only add to the Warming of the Planet. In fact, all HEAT produced by Human Activity is contributing to Global Warming... including heating one's home, regardless of the type of heat... and the same goes for Air Conditioning. The AC unit removes heat from the building and blows it outside, so there is no net heat gain there, but the AC unit also produces its own heat.
All this focus on CO2 is a Hoax. CO2 is subject to the Law of Diminishing Returns... meaning, as concentration increases, the related effects decrease. The IPCC says, at the current concentration of ~420ppm, Atmospheric CO2 has used up 87% of its heat retaining ability, meaning there will be no "Runaway Greenhouse Effect."

@mattmiedzybrodzki8348 The idea that Israel is occupying the Land goes back to 1947-8, though. I have been looking into how Israel came to be, and although it may not have all been done completely "Legally" on the U.N.'s part, something DID have to be done to address the issue of the Jewish Diaspora, their continued persecution Worldwide, and their right to exist as a People, i.e; their Right to Self-Governance and Self-Determination.
Where it gets muddy is when one considers the fact that the (Majority) Arab Population, who lived in the Region during the time of the 2 World Wars, is also entitled to the same Rights. This has always been the basis of the Conflict, and why Several Arab States immediately declared War on the newly Declared State of Israel in May of 1948.
Several locations were originally considered for where Israel would be established, and it was agreed upon, modern day Palestine was the most logical and practical place, given the History of the Region and the already present (albeit, Minority) Jewish Population.

@davewade30 I would argue, the difference between Language Gender and Human "Gender" (and I'm using the term Gender somewhat loosely here) is, Language Gender is fixed/absolute, whereas Human "Gender" is subject to Hormonal influence, or some other Biological reality.
So, nothing more to understand than what we have already understood for centuries. I.e; there are effeminate men, and "butch" women.
Moreover, this infinite variability is simply subject to the previously mentioned Hormonal/Biological reality. So, for example, a man can be slightly effeminate, very effeminate, or anything in between. Same for Women. Again, variability in degree, only.
I would also suggest the Social Construct issue refers more to behaviour of the Sexes, rather than their actual Biological Sex. For example, "big boys don't cry", when clearly there are times when a man crying would be the appropriate response. Or, "girls don't fight", even if they do play Hockey. : ) . So, who should determine what is an acceptable level of Masculinity or Femininity, in either case?
That said, we have a long History of what are generally considered/seen as traditionally Feminine vs. Masculine Traits/Behaviours. I will leave the rest for folks like Jordan Peterson to suss out.

@davewade30 Well said.
I am quite willing to entertain the idea of a woman being trapped in a man's body, or vice versa, mainly because of a story I heard years ago, about a pair of twin boys who, from a very early age, and left to their own devices/choices, had clearly different tastes in toys, clothing, etc., . But, then again, they were twins... which may be a whole unique situation on it's own?
I also met/befriended a waitress, a few years back, who had a twin sister. Her sister was more of a girly-girl, while she was more of a tom-boy. I found that rather interesting.

Folks need to see the footage showing how they were set up at the end of a bend, mostly out of sight. The driver swerved right to miss the vehicles illegally parked across all s.b. lanes of the highway. He was now on the shoulder, between the highway and the next ramp. He is seen brakeing. He merged with the ramp, then swurved left to miss the crowd illegally gathered on the ramp.
The two who were hit, pretty much just stood there, like deer in the headlights, most likely thinking " We can't be run over. We have every right to be in the middle of OUR streets, in the middle of the night." Well, how did that work out for these two?
And let's not ignore the fact, the driver could have been seriously injured. And what about that nice jag? This guy didn't qualify as an "oppressed colored kid" in need of saving. And, they didn't get a white guy to pin it on, so not much coverage. Their entire narrative is bullsh*t.

@davidfarrell4286 Post WW1, the massive Region of Syria-Palestina was split up by two Mandates, the French charged with the Syrian Mandate, and the British charged with the Palestinian Mandate. All but a tiny portion of the Region was given to the Arabs, while the tiny portion that remained was partitioned, to accommodate a Jewish state, and yet another Arab state. But the Arabs demanded they get all the Land in the Region, regardless of the fact Jews had co-occupied that Region for Millennia.
To better understand the Arab's perspective, look into Pan-Arabism and Arab Nationalism. Also, read what the Arab Leaders themselves had to say about the Nakba. They did not say the Jews forced the local Arab "palestinians" out, btw. They admit they told the Arabs to leave the area newly known as Israel for neighboring Arab states, so that the Arab armies could wipe out the Jews. Well, they failed in their attempt to annihilate Israel, and created a huge Refugee problem. This is what THEY called the Nakba.

@Peterolen The same here in Canada. Our CFR has dropped from over 8% in the Spring, to about 2%, due to increased testing. Because of this, CFR is mostly irrelevant, as no one knows the actual number of people infected, then or now.
But actual hospitalizations and daily deaths are not subject to such guess-timations. Both have dropped, despite the increased testing/# of cases. Likewise, the % of pos. test results has also dropped significantly.
If one assumes more testing in the Spring would have shown similar numbers of infections (cases) as we see now, then there is still the issue of deaths being significantly lower now, than back in the spring. In Ontario, we are seeing about 43% of the number of deaths, and 350% of the number of cases.
And regardless of lock downs and mask mandates, this pattern is a common one... higher case numbers, lower death numbers, regardless. If treatments have reduced the fatality rate by over 50%, in many Countries, one would expect to hear about this. But no, all we hear is more cases means more deaths... regardless of these "very effective treatments".

@christiangamer1752 While you get your "Medical Education" from the Media and White House, I got mine from a Formal Education in Anatomy and Physiology (including Pathology, Endocrinology, Splanchnology, and the like), as well as from Vaccinologists, Epidemiologists, Virologists, Evolutionary Biologists, Practicing Clinicians, etc.
So no, it is not the un-vaccinated driving the Mutations (Why would they be???). And no, it is not FROM the Vaccines, themselves, but the way they fail to eradicate the Virus entirely, thus pressuring the Virus Strains to Evolve.
I do not speak from emotion, nor from arrogance, but from a place of confidence, based on my Education and private follow up studies... and certainly NOT based on "The Science", as you Un-educated parrots call it.
As for using quips? Indeed, I do enjoy employing Sarcasm as a way of exposing the lies and propaganda of folks such as yourself. Now kindly return to your video games and Hot Pockets.

@StonesSticksBones "so many >>>believe<<< he did so multiple attestations (which is nowhere near what you originally said)"
I said "seeing as his >>>popularity<<< has lasted so long".
"We have the writings of Paul"
I also said "It was agreed that there was insufficient (i.e; little to no) solid >>>Extra-Biblical<<< evidence of his existence" Paul's alleged writings are not Extra-Biblical. And if you think stories, such as Paul falling to the ground on his way to Emmaus, is/are original to him and the N.T. writings, you are mistaken. See here:

And yes, I'm quite familiar with Ehrman, and I would argue he is another who's belief in an Historical Jesus is driven more by the notion he must have existed, than he did. He was never able to convince me, otherwise.
"There being a historical figure at the core of Christianity is utterly uncontroversial among historians/classicists/researchers studying the period" ... and yet, it remains a controversial subject, even among such scholars, to this very day. hmmm?
Two things to remember:
1) No one has had everything cross their desk (as in you saying " I've never heard any scholar ever say anything even close to "he must have existed""),
and 2) Some folks are more easily convinced than others, especially seeing as abandoning one's beliefs/faith can be very traumatic for some.

@sveddish you're missing my point, completely. There is plenty of data available, already. There is no need to wait and see. Show me Sweden's data. There's plenty available.
You say Sweden will be successful. I "claimed" they will not. Two opinions, no facts to back up either side. Getting it? You, and every other person giving their opinion, either side of the argument, means nothing. How do you expect to change peoples minds without proof? Both sides need to step it up. ( and yes, i can prove sweden IS on the right path, but no one is interested in facts, so I've decided to make baseless statements, like everyone else, just to prove my point.)
... So, I say, put up, or shut up, and don't question me, if all you have is your opinion. Be safe, and do your homework.
1
-
@sveddish and if 2 million die, needlessly, in the name of civil liberties, it's worth it? These are the questions you need to be able to answer, or no one criticizing sweden will take you seriously. Ra ra ra, just doesn't cut it. Dead people have no liberties, so you need to convince people, using something other than national pride.
Thousands of youtube posts, and while everyone is arguing, the agenda continues. And now, even the conservative governors and premiers are criticizing folks for non-compliance to the left's draconian methods. So anyone saying, let's just wait and see, are falling into the trap already set. So don't shake your head when many will not take your criticisms of americans seriously. It's just your opinion against theirs.

@Minnnty_grinnn "The Nakba" was used by Arab Authors/Commentators/Leaders to describe the Arab Armies' failure to annihilate the Jews and Israel, in 1948. You see, the day after Israel Declared itself a Nation, 5 Arab Countries declared War on Israel. At the beginning of the War, the Arabs living in the Region were told by their Arab Leaders to flee the region, and then return after all the Jews were dead or dispersed. Well, the Arab Armies failed, miserably, and those who fled became "Palestinian Refugees".
Khaled al-Azm, the Prime Minister of Syria in 1948-49:
“SINCE 1948 WE HAVE BEEN DEMANDING THE RETURN OF THE REFUGEES TO THEIR HOMES. BUT WE OURSELVES ARE THE ONES WHO ENCOURAGED THEM TO LEAVE. ONLY A FEW MONTHS SEPARATED OUR CALL TO THEM TO LEAVE AND OUR APPEAL TO THE UNITED NATIONS TO RESOLVE ON THEIR RETURN.”
“… The fifth factor (e.g. For the Arab failure in 1948) was the call by the Arab governments to the [Arab] inhabitants of Palestine to evacuate it and leave for the bordering Arab countries … We brought destruction upon a million Arab refugees by calling on them and pleading with them to leave their land.”
Source The Memoirs of Khaled al-Azm, 3 Volumes, Beirut 1973
... BTW... Those who did not flee became Israeli Citizens... with FULL Rights.

@philwilson609 ... So you have no hard numbers, comparing Stockholm to NYC??? And yet you say I'm pretending to be incapable of searching the internet? You're such a douche bag.... And, you are not even aware, that 81 new deaths, listed on worldometer, is not in one day. It takes several days for the numbers to be adjusted according to date... especially right after a weekend, you dumb fuck. So that 81 will be spread out over a few days... Look at the Note below the graph. Also, jot down the numbers for the last 3 or 4 days, then check back in a couple days. You will see for yourself:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:2019%E2%80%9320_coronavirus_pandemic_data/Sweden_medical_cases_chart
The only thing you're enabling me to do is expose you for the fraud you are... And your Trump bashing is just nonsense, and irrelevant... Now show me the real numbers, or shut the fuck up.
