This rigidity undermines business confidence, deters foreign and venture capital investment, and isolates Hong Kong from global markets. Consequently, it severely impacts US and other foreign investments in China and Hong Kong businesses, making it nearly impossible for these regions to attract crucial international funding and venture capital.
