  4. Would you even want to game on a machine in late 2025 that can't run W11 now? It gets to the stage that even Linux moves on and it becomes impractical to keep using old, old hardware. Case in point, I have an old XP era machine (think 1GB RAM, Celery) that needs Lubuntu because modern distros are too resource hungry. I guess I could find an even more minimalist OS if I tried.

  9. I wonder whether the bigger problem is how to promote the mass adoption of keyrings in the first place. If it were implemented as a cross platform OS component that all apps were aware of, key management could be ubiquitous. I mean, Linux already has password and key management built in, but even then you still have to go out of your way to actually use it.
