  8. It means the cause of death is being attributed to other causes, even if the patient is positive for the virus. That's not wrong in itself. People can die with cancer, but not because of it. In some cases Covid 19 may be a complication that weakens someone so they die from an existing illness, say a heart condition. The cause of death would be cardiac, rather than Covid 19 pneumonia.
