I just read an interview with Simone and she said she has not taken ADHD meds since 2017. She got what is called the twisties, in other sports called the Yips, and was so disoriented she could not perform because in the air she didn't know where she was. I spent 6 years in gymnastics and can tell you this is a real thing and completely dangerous. You can't do most tricks that spin you around a bit because you end up not knowing where you are in space and could end up landing on your head.
