My friend served over there, during his service he stepped over a pressure plated IED, he lost both his legs, lost many of his brother in arms, however since his service he recovered, and then he climed Kilimanjaro unaided, the first double leg amputatee to do it, and also competed in the Invictus games of which he won a medal. When he heard about the situation in Afghan he simply replied “it was all for nothing” such an amazing man broken down into pieces.
