  1. “You’re overthinking”, like there’s such a thing as thinking too much, i’d like to see when these people stumble upon a situation in life where they need to be smart and think, the world is full of puzzles and problems, and even the smartest one would think their whole lives and never solve all of them, but every situation in life is a call for reflection to promote better action and therefore better outcome, like a chess match, another argument is that thinking is life, it’s what makes us human, without thought we’re like pigs, and i think that for the lack of thought and therefore awareness, other animals have both their capacity to feel happy/pleasure and sadness/pain reduced proportionally to their awareness, it can be said that the state of happiness is only possible because of the unawareness of the bad things in the world and around us, therefore why smart people, those who can grasp more information, are often sad, but it could also be that when they’re happy they’re even happier, because an increased awareness can grasp more of the pleasurable information, that said we can assume that the average people that don’t think enough may be more mentally healthy and “happier” normally and sad only when something bad happens, but it also means that the person will never get to the extremes of happiness, never fully happy, but still comfortable, because they are also ignorant of how much happier they could be, if only they know how better it could be, they wouldn’t be conformists, they’re ignorant, and socrates said ignorance is evil, because someone who doesn’t think through their actions is likely to harm someone without even noticing. There’s another side of the coin, and it comes from a stoic principle of focusing on the things you can control, and momentarily ignore what we can’t, it’s useless after all, that is the only thing that gives the term “overthinking” any meaning, thinking beyond what is useful for the sake of a task, if we need to make a hard jump for example, we will procrastinate the task because of fear and try to think it through, but no amount of thought will either change the situation or give a full understanding of whether or not we’ll be 100% capable of making a successful jump, there the saying “just do it” is more useful, focusing is the key here, there shall be a time for every thought, and we can achieve that focus through meditation, which is basically controlling one’s mind and thoughts, hope you even understand that😅 many would say i just overthought, but i just organised my thoughts, i’m at a situation where i need to focus on the task at hand and not be distracted by other thoughts that are not related to it at the moment, but I’m struggling with it.
