  1. You really didn’t include Arizona? We have pine forest, desert, mountains, the Grand Canyon, etc. Definitely one of the most beautiful states in the country.

  2. I don’t think it’s nearly as bad as what you’re making it out to be man, lol. Been here three years and I really like it. I think it’s beautiful, has a lot to do, etc. But hey everyone has their own opinions tho I get it. As far as being "conservative", ehh Phoenix is pretty "purple" honestly and our last two mayors have been democrat and it also has an HRC score of 100, which is perfect. It's definitely not hardcore conservative.

All 4 major sports, museums, plenty of great restaurants, bars, and shopping, hiking, etc etc. I don't see how the 5th largest city in the country with plenty of amenities is "boring" but places like Des Moines, Lincoln, and Salt Lake aren't, lol. No way those places are more "fun" than Phoenix.

  11. usa Have you ever even been here before? Have you seen Havasu Falls, Antelope Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona, the Tonto national forest, the Petrified Forest, or Cathedral Rock? No, The Grand Canyon and saguaros aren’t the only beautiful things here. That’s just a straight up lie man, lol.

You're just biased against Phoenix man, Phoenix is more interesting and has more to do than Des Moines, Lincoln, Madison, Boise and Salt Lake (and is definitely more interesting from a geography and topography standpoint than those first three), yet they made this list. Phoenix has lots of amenities, all 4 major sports, plenty of museums, restaurants, events, hiking, bars, concerts, etc. It's just funny to me that Phoenix is "boring and suburban" yet those places apparently aren't. Lol. Your opinion tho man.

  39. Todd B I live in Phoenix and I disagree. We have better weather than 95% of the country most of the year. Our only “bad” season is the summer and it’s honestly not THAT bad. Yea it’s hot but it’s also hot everywhere else in the country during the summer, and at least we don’t have to deal with the terrible humidity a lot of the country experiences.

Why do most people in Texas consider themselves part of the south? Why do a lot of people in Texas talk “southern” or “country” like people in other places that are considered the south? Texas IS the south man, El Paso is the only part of Texas that isn’t really southern.

Having your own unique subculture or whatever doesn’t exclude them from being part of the south. And now you’re trying to move the goalposts, I never said it was “Deep South” but it’s the SOUTH. I live in Arizona now and I can tell you it’s NOTHING like Texas, not in terms of landscape/topography, the way people talk,act, culturally, etc. Texas has much more in common with Louisiana (outside of New Orleans) than it does anywhere in the actual west. And yea Florida IS part of the south as well. They might not “claim” it but they are. South Florida is its own thing because of all of the Dominican, Cuban, Hatian, etc culture there so they really aren’t “the south” but the rest of Florida is as southern as can be.

I would say El Paso and San Antonio could be considered western, but Texas’s two most prominent, well known, cities, Houston and Dallas, are definitely more “southern” than “western” in terms of how people act, talk, etc. I have family in Dallas and they talk no differently than the people in Shreveport, LA (where I’m originally from). Culturally they aren’t much different either.

  49. “Bland and ugly” to YOU. To me it’s beautiful. The mountains, palm trees, and constant blue skies are amazing. And no nightclubs is a straight up lie, there’s plenty here. No city with 1.7 million people wouldn’t have night clubs. Lmao. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions of course but don’t lie and make false statements.
