  2. There were two science documentary TV shows hosted by science fiction author Arthur C Clarke called: ARTHUR C. CLARKE'S MYSTERIOUS WORLD and ARTHUR C. CLARKE'S MYSTERIOUS UNIVERSE. One episode of one of the two shows dealt with ball lightning. Included was footage taken in the 1960s[?] during the last day of a research project in the USA[?] to investigate certain phenomena in general, and maybe ball lightning specifically {I don't recall for sure}. They we're a WWII diesel electric submarine battery as a power source. During the last attempt, a small {unintentional} explosion was created. They caught on a few frames of film what appears to be a small ball of light literally bouncing out of that explosion. EXACTLY WHAT the ball of light was remains a mystery.
