  1. FWIW: I have lived in North Carolina since the mid-1990s, but I was born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Florida. I was living in northern Dade County in 1992 when Hurricane Andrew came ashore in southern Dade County. As a US Navy recruiter once told me years earlier regarding USN boot camp: "It [was] NOT an orgasmic experience." That description was quite appropo to hurricane Andrew as well....
