  1. FWIW: I would be FINE with an electric vehicle powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. Are there engineering problems and lack of infrastructure problems? Yes, and I am completely aware of that. But NASA has been using H² fuel cells since the 1960s: First aboard Gemini spacecraft, then Apollo spacecraft, and then the Space Shuttles. So SOMETHING works. Another thing that doesn't seem to be mentioned is -- despite the engineering challenges I mentioned -- a hydrogen infrastructure could be used to fuel internal combustion engine powered vehicles with modifications to the vehicles. And THEY would run with virtually no emissions. Just my 2¢.
