  5. FWIW, even though I am American, I prefer to use the metric system {for length measurements} when doing hobby stuff. Why? BECAUSE FRACTIONS ARE NOT MY FRIENDS! ;~)° My brain handles decimals and percentages MUCH BETTER. Really....

  17. David Wieberg → Try placing the flat end of a wooden dowel - say, 15 centimeters in diameter - against the palm of your hand, then pressing it into your palm with moderate force. Does it break the skin? Unless your definition of "moderate" is VASTLY DIFFERENT than mine, probably not . Next try placing the end of a hypodermic needle - the pointy end with the teenie hole in it - against the same palm, and press with the same force. Does THAT break the skin? 'Nuff said....
